Château Saint-Maur Cuvée Azur IGP Méditerranée Rosé 2024 (6 Bottles) Provence, France
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Owned by Roger Zannier, Château Saint-Maur is one of the finest properties in Provence. A few kilometres from Saint-Tropez, Saint-Maur is one of only eighteen estates that have been awarded Cru Classé status in the region. The Clos de Capelune vineyard, on the heights of Collobrières, overlooks the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. At 449m of altitude, these are the highest vines in the Côtes de Provence appellation.
This rosé shines with a gleaming lychee-coloured hue accented by golden flecks. On the nose, it bursts with expressive aromas of small red berries, offering a vibrant and fruity character. The palate is refreshingly light and lively, with tangy hints reminiscent of fruit drops, resulting in a bright and easy-drinking style.
13% ABV.
Gusbourne Late Disgorged Blanc de Blancs 2013 (6 Bottles) Appledore, Kent, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
The extended lees ageing of this wine brings with it a complexity and creamy mouthfeel, showing toasted brazil nut, freshly baked croissant and pastry along with bright citrus fruits, lemon sherbet, stone fruits and a striking mineral note.
Every year, we release a small number of late-disgorged wines. These are particularly luxurious and fine thanks to a special winemaking technique.
If you’re already familiar with Dom Perignon’s Plénitude or Bollinger’s RD, then you know the magical combination of freshness allied with delicious flavours of brioche, cream, butter and toast that characterise late-disgorged wines.
But how does this kind of ageing alchemy happen? The answer lies in the lees.
