An unusual dry white wine with a sophisticated edge. Star-bright, medium intensity rose-gold with copper flashes.
Highly aromatic with orange blossom and tangerine peel plus attractive stone fruits including apricot and yellow nectarine. The palate is distinctly fruit-driven with vibrant flavours of greengage, quetsch and yellow plum, as well as top notes of kumquat and ruby grapefruit.
Uplifting freshness and juicy acidity combine to give a succulent mouth-watering wine with no trace of oak. Bursting with flavour, it combines rarity with food friendly versatility.
Serve chilled with mackerel escabeche or pickled herrings. Enjoy it with sea-trout served on a bed of fennel and ruby grapefruit. Delicious with sea bass drizzled with sauce vierge. Made from our organic Pinot Noir from the Redmoors vineyard, planted in 2016. It is a light red wine with typical varietal aromas of the grape variety, soft balance, complex with red berry fruit and great length of flavour. A whole berry ferment with 50% whole bunches included, aged in large oak vats for 9 months and then has a further 12 months maturing in the bottle.

Style: Grown in polytunnels, so more full bodied than a typical English red.
Food Pairing: Perfect with a Sunday Roast or other hearty meals.
Deep ruby in colour, with aromas of pepper, dark berries and spice. The palate is medium bodied with gentle tannins and a slight earthiness, flavours of stewed dark fruits and spices. The perfect wine for more full flavoured meat and mushroom based dishes.
Winemakers Notes: A cheats wine in many ways! In our climate we can not ripen either Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon as they simply ripen too late, so the grapes for this are grown under cover. The blend is 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet, the grapes are fermented with daily pump overs to extract more colour, depth and body. Towards the end of the fermentation the grapes are pressed and transferred to a mixture of French oak barrels where they remain for over a year. The wine is then bottled unfined and unfiltered.
