A wonderfully refreshing, crisp dry white wine with zesty fruit appeal. Bright pale lemon-green with a few legs.
Brilliantly aromatic with floral scents of elderflower and apple blossom combined with gooseberry and greengage plus hints of Sicillian lemon. It also has herbaceous notes of freshly cut grass and wild nettles on the nose.
The palate is delightfully zesty and fresh with citrus flavours of lemon peel and grapefruit alongside gooseberry and passionfruit. There are herbal notes of lemongrass and parsley, followed by a touch of salty minerality on the finish. It is beautifully balanced with uplifting lime acidity and nice length.
Perfect served chilled with seafood such as ‘moules marinères' or flat fish such as lemon sole, plaice, brill or turbot. Enjoy it with goats cheese, or asparagus drizzled with lemon butter. Also good with Japanese sushi and pickled ginger, but go easy on the wasabi. Try it with Scandinavian pickled fish such as soused herrings or rollmops.

NECTAR FROM A DIFFERENT HECTARE
As if we didn’t know well enough how tiny our vineyard is, the wine this time comes from another family owned estate; of 250 hectares! Perez Cruz Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is an absolute belter.
This unique eco-friendly winery is found in the Maipo Andes in Chile and, as much as we are seen as rosé specialists, so they are considered red experts. This region, at around 500m above sea level, is considered to be one of the most sought after areas to grow Cabernet Sauvignon. As ours are, their vines are trained on a double guyot system and have a long ripening season eventually being harvested by hand. The big difference is that, in the middle bit, they get plenty of sunshine!
A bit of an ‘under the radar’ wine, this has intense ripe red fruits with sweet vanilla (it spends a year in oak), black pepper, wild herbs and figs. The palate is creamy and concentrated with enough grip for food but the balanced acidity and soft tannins are also perfect for a liquid supper watching a movie in front of the fire. Perfect wine for roast dinner. It’s vegan friendly too….

With passion and purpose Red Hut was launched and embodies the spirit of New Zealand, they are inspired by the iconic red huts that shelter adventurers. This Chardonnay is an expression of site and season. Aromas of white peach, citrus blossom and roasted cashew lead into a textured palate layered with ripe stone fruit, subtle oak spice and a touch of flinty minerality. Owned by the Deniau family, Domaine des Vaublins has been a family winery for several generations. Since 2020 the Domaine is in the hands of the current generation Nicolas and Alexandrine, and together with Cedric Allion they are making some excellent wines under his watchful eye. Their 16 hectares of vines are located on the clay and limestone hillsides on the banks of the river Cher.
This Crémant de Loire is a beautiful pale gold colour with hints of green, creating a delicate and luminous appearance. It has a gentle effervescence that lingers gracefully. The aroma is a delightful blend of fruity notes, complemented by subtle hints of white flowers like honeysuckle and acacia. On the palate, it offers a harmonious experience with a pleasant dryness, thanks to a balanced level of residual sugars. It provides a delicate and enjoyable taste that lingers long after each sip.
