The “Pygmalion” is a rich and structured wine, packed with citrus characters, honeydew melon, and pineapple with underlying hazelnut and almond characters.
The grapes are whole bunch pressed into Burgundy barrels where they undergo natural fermentation using indigenous yeast. The wine has matured a further 20 months in barrel with frequent lees stirring.

A classic dry sparkling wine with a refined elegance. The colour is pale lemon straw with a steady stream of minute bubbles.
It has appealing floral aromas of apple blossom interlaced with ripe melon and constance pear plus a delicate thread of minerality. On the palate the fine mousse marries citrus flavours of grapefruit and Sicilian lemon with a crystalline structure and zesty acidity.
The autolytic character is subtle. It has excellent poise and a persistent finish.

Established in 1692, Hartenberg Estate should need little introduction, as one of South Africa’s oldest wineries. Deep Cherry red rose develops a splash of fruits and flavours of cherries and blackberries, herb, spice and dried Orange peel; it has refreshing strawberry aromas with notes of brioche , which become accentuated after time in the glass with a long fresh finish.
A blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier The grapes were pressed in a traditional Coquard press. After fermentation the base wines were kept separate and remained on their gross yeast lees over winter to develop additional complexity and richness. The base wines did not go through malolactic fermentation. Bottled in May 2016 the Rose was disgorged on September 2021 and has spent 63 months on the lees.
