Fermented on skins for three weeks and aged in a mix of both new and aged American and Hungarian oak barrels for twelve months. Aromas of vanilla, cinnamon and hints of white pepper spice. A cool climate grape variety most similar to a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc. It is characterised by intense aromas of citrus, elderflower and grapefruit combined with a fruity palate of apple, elderflower and herbaceous notes. Our Anne of Cleves wine has a medium dry finish. This wine was made from organically grown grapes.

The first Bacchus in our Sandridge Barton range offers up a broader and richer expression. Whole-bunched pressed Bacchus, fermented in both stainless steel and third-fill oak barrels before being matured for a further 8 months in old French oak barrels for maturation. The wine is unfiltered and has spend a further 10 months in bottle prior to release.
The palate is alive and bursting with lemon pith, melon and kiwi flavours, lifted by a lime-like acidity and some subtle oak tannin. This dry, textual and broad Bacchus shows a different side to UK's fourth most planted grape variety.
