Nutbourne Pinot Gris 2022 (6 Bottles) Pulborough, West Sussex, England

Our first release from the 2018 plantings, this limited edition wine is made from 100% Pinot Gris. This still white wine is beautifully rounded, with bright floral notes, delicate pear and stone fruit.
A portion of the wine was matured in French oak barrels and aged for six months to add richness and body.
Perfect when paired with fresh seafood such as crab linguine, scallops or with a platter of antipasti.
The art: Nutbourne wines are a family affair, made only from grapes grown on the estate, and every bottle features a Bridget Gladwin painting on the label, selected to complement the wine. This painting of the Seven Sisters cliffs was created high on the Sussex Downs on a bright, blustery day. it captures a kaleidoscope of colours, freshness and light from the sea, landscape and sky.

Our rose is a careful blend of elegant Madeleine Angevine and fruity Rondo which affords it a pretty pink blush.
From year to year, it keeps its distinctive wild strawberry bouquet with white fruit and flowers, but in recent years it has developed notes of raw sugar and pink grapefruit.

This Chardonnay has aromas of ripe melon, bergamot and apricot, a rich palate of butter and citrus marmalade, and a savoury toast-crunch finish. Balanced, complex and delicious.
In the Vineyard
Vines in Block 7 in the centre of the vineyard were chosen for our first Chardonnay. The vines are closely planted (5,000 vines per hectare) in soil with a distinctly sandy and rocky profile. This regulates canopy growth, lessening growth of both shoots and fruit. Lighter crops, from well ventilated, less vigorous canopies, enabled us to ripen the grapes to the desired quality level with minimal canopy intervention.
What's in the name?
'Two Beat Trot' is a dressage term for balance, making it the perfect name for our Chardonnay. Just like the elegant movement, this wine is beautifully balanced and complex.

This signature vintage wine is our classic blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier aged for a minimum of 24 months on its’ yeast lees. A very special traditional method English sparkling wine made from our own Pinot Noir grapes skilfully combined with a carefully selected local Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir mix.
2018 was an exceptional growing year in the UK with a super hot summer which delivered grapes bursting with juicy ripeness.
Our Reserve Cuvée has fresh and intense citrus aromas, supported by notes of ripe fruit and the slightest hint of oak. A touch of biscuity honey with a creamy finish completes the tasting journey.
Aged on the lees for at least 24 months. Excellent with lobster lasagne, seafood or enjoyed on its own.

With passion and purpose Red Hut was launched and embodies the spirit of New Zealand, they are inspired by the iconic red huts that shelter adventurers. This Chardonnay is an expression of site and season. The Gratiot-Pillière family’s focus has always been on quality, authenticity and value above all else. Winemakers since 1657, today the winery is in the hands of 11th generation brothers Olivier and Sébastien. The family vineyards cover 18 hectares of land, spread throughout the towns of Charly-Sur-Marne, Saulchery, Bonneil and Azy-Sur-Marne. Subtle blends of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from across varied terroirs give a style that is fresh, balanced and replete with delicate fruit.
A blond gold yellow tint surrounds the fine bubbles which rise slowly. The nose expresses itself with opulence, with mixed notes of ripe yellow fruits (mirabelle plum, fresh quince) and fruit in syrup. The palate is almost suave, with a nice persistence, supported by a light freshness that accompanies a warm finish.
