The winemaker’s special blend of Pinot Noir, Bacchus and Reichensteiner, naturally aged in oak barrels for 12 months. This is a limited edition dry white wine with a wonderful balance of aromatic fruit and complexity.

The Art: Just as Nutbourne wines are only made from grapes grown on the estate, every bottle features Bridget Gladwin’s paintings. This piece is from a series of paintings worked on over a year, watching the vineyard change throughout the seasons. The bright green Spring growth and blue Summer skies contrast with the rich hues of Autumn and bare white of Winter.

Bacchus is a distinctive, bright and fresh variety. Citrus, elderflower and honeysuckle notes, dry and crisp on the palate it pairs superbly with seafood, especially shellfish.
Our Bacchus may contain Tartrate crystals, also known as wine diamonds, which are harmless, naturally occurring crystalline deposits that form in wine when tartaric acid and potassium bind together.

During the early years, Bodegas Lustau operated as an ‘Almacenista’. The Lustau family began bottling their own sherries and exporting by 1950. In the 1980s they expanded their range and introduced the Almacenista range concept of buying and maturing casks from small bodegas to share excellent quality names and styles with enthusiasts around the world. Bodegas Lustau is considered a world-class benchmark for top-quality wines.
Aged for equal periods under “flor” and in contact with the oxygen, in Bodega Emperatriz Eugenia in Jerez de la Frontera. This dry Amontillado acquires a genuine, rich and nutty flavour through years of ageing. Amber in colour, with hazelnut aromas on the nose. Light, soft and round on the palate, with a long aftertaste.

This elegant wine boasts a light straw hue with delicate aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, and honeysuckle. On the palate, green apple and brioche are complemented by a hint of marzipan, culminating in a well-balanced, seamless finish with a fine, persistent mousse.
The 2019 vintage began with abundant sunshine, a record-hot Easter, and a warm, wet summer. Despite challenges, careful vineyard management yielded clean, flavourful grapes. The blend includes 11% barrel-fermented wine and 12% aged reserve wines, with four years on lees for added complexity. Perfect for celebrations, it pairs beautifully with canapés and laughter. Our 2018 ‘Alwyn’ Classic Cuvée is named after a Saxon nobleman and first known resident of the original Saxon manor of Chilworth.
