Natural fermentation, low alcohol dry white wine made from Seyval Blanc grapes from our vineyard in Pembrokeshire.
After a dry, hot summer the 2022 vintage of Naturiol was picked on the 28th October 2022.
It has been naturally fermented meaning no added yeast or sugar, no filtration or fining were used to avoid stripping out the flavour compounds.
On the nose the wine presents fresh and with notes of pear, marizpan and a slight touch of aniseed. On the palate it is light-textured yet brimming with crunchy orchard fruit, such as green apple and yellow pear. A soft mouthfeel, and a long, zingy aftertaste.

Winding Wood Demi-Sec 2019 (6 Bottles) Hungerford, Berkshire, England

A limited edition of 100 bottles. This is a pudding fizz made at Hattingley Valley and disgorged at Offbeat Wines by Daniel Ham, our winemaker. A demi-sec is created at dosage stage with extra sugar blended with the base wine. The wine has had 36 months on its yeast lees and then a further 6 months on cork in cellar.
Harrow & Hope Pinot Meunier 2019 (6 Bottles) Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England

85% of this wine was fermented in stainless steel to preserve the unique aromatic qualities of this variety. The rest was fermented in a 500 litre oak puncheon to build structure and length. This is a naturally soft and elegant wine with a subtle floral nose but also has a savory, saline edge. The palate has a moreish quality because of the soft acid profile and elegant almost feather light feel, with the saline finish really drawing you back to have another glass. This wine seems to get better every time I try it. Being the first iteration it’s difficult to say how long it might go on for but if balance is the key to longevity then this has it in abundance.
Rathfinny Blanc de Blancs 2019 (6 Bottles) Polegate, East Sussex, England

Luminescent gold in colour, with a delicate nose of ripe, almost tropical fruit, yielding a complex palate of apricot and creamy citrus fruits with a delicious long, elegant yuzu finish.
This elegant sparkling has a saline kick that matches beautifully with fish and seafood dishes such as turbot with samphire, crab risotto or seabass sashimi.

Monte del Frà (meaning ‘land of the monks’) gets its name from the late 15th century, when a group of Friars formed a monastery on the land. Some hundred years later, the friars leased 25 hectares for the cultivation of vineyards and fruit trees. You can, in fact, still see this document today in the Vienna’s historic library. Fast forward several centuries, and Monte del Frà is now in the very capable hands of the Bonomo family. For over six decades the family have farmed this land, now resting firmly with the third generation; Marica, Silvia and Massimo Bonomo.
Delicate scents of berry fruits, raspberries, redcurrants, and wild flowers, accompanied by light and refreshing hints of green apples and by spicy tones, cinnamon, cloves and vanilla.

Juicy, crunchy, vibrant Pinot Noir all held in an elegant, very ‘classic’ structure. Concentrated brambles (blackberry) and black cherry, damson fruit overlaid with quintessential Pinot perfumed aromatics and subtle dry spice. Subtle fennel and violet give further aromatic complexity and intrigue. Medium-light, chalky tannins give the wine great texture, acidity is refreshing but well-integrated and harmonious. A beautiful, pale, shimmering gold, the 2014 Blanc de Blancs opens with aromas of freshly crushed ripe green apples, lemon zest, quince jelly and a gorgeous fresh ginger note. It has a toasty savouriness with the well-judged intensity of pastry and biscuit never overwhelming the elegant fruit. On the palate it has wonderful concentration and acidic structure. Bone dry with and beautifully balanced. Superb length.
