Oastbrook Estate Sparkling Cuveé 2014 (6 Bottles) Robertsbridge, Kent, England

This is a rich ripe, full and surprisingly generous Cuvee. Aromas of lemon, pear and apple and hedgerow flowers and hints of brioche. The palate is lovely, lush and elegant and the finish long and equally luscious with a hint of shortbread.
The grapes were pressed in a traditional Coquard press. After fermentation the base wines were kept separate and remained on their gross yeast lees over winter to develop additional complexity and richness. The base wines did not go through malolactic fermentation. Bottled in May 2014 the Cuvee was disgorged on September 2021 and has spent 87 months on the lees. This wine is a blend of 62% Chardonnay 21% Pinot Noir and 17% Pinot Meunier.

The palate delivers an adventurous medley of flavors. Bright citrus zest mingles with succulent apricot and lush tropical pineapple, harmonized by a textured, tannic grip that adds depth and structure. A subtle Fino-like oxidative note enhances its complexity, making this a wine of remarkable character and intrigue.
With its 11% alcohol content and a style rooted in tradition yet full of modern allure, Amber Wine is perfect for the discerning wine lover seeking something distinctive.
