Capturing the delights of the stellar 2016 harvest, Ridgeview’s Blanc de Noirs brings together characteristic red-fruit flavours and tantalising complexity. With a full-bodied backbone, it balances power and finesse with a deliciously layered palate. A sparkling wine to turn heads, it pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, from meaty mains to fresh seafood, and even rich pasta dishes and beyond.
Sandridge Barton Don’t Feed the Ponies Furze 2021 (6 Bottles) Stoke Gabriel, Devon, England

A rich and oxidative wine made with 60% skin contact and barrel matured Pinot Gris and 40% Madeleine Angevine matured in stainless steel. After one year the wines were blended where they matured for a further 24 months in old French oak barrels with some under a flor. The resulting wine has baked apple, bruised apricot and nutty characteristics with good weight, balance and grip.
This wine is part of our new Don't Feed The Ponies range of more experimental wines, a reference to a campaign on Dartmoor National Park to discourage visitors from feeding the wild horses that roam there. The source of the River Dart begins way up in the heart of the moors, and it's the river that influences how our grapes grow. For every bottle purchased from this range, we'll donate 25p to the Dartmoor Preservation Association to preserve the natural habitat.

Aged in French and American oak barrels for almost one year, giving structure, complexity and depth. Dark Cherry, Blackberry and subtle oak notes make this perfect at the table with a wide range of fine foods.

Our ‘Kentish’ Blanc de Noirs is a wine of yin and yang. The traditional ripe Blanc de Noir flavour of red apple and blackcurrant combine with linear citrus and oyster shell characteristics noticeable in all of Balfour’s vintage wines. The result is a wine of wonderful tension, vibrancy, and complexity.

The latest release of our highly successful Classic Cuvée Brut that was originally released in 2019, and sold out quickly.
This new release is made from grapes from the excellent 2019 and 2020 vintages. Made from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, secondary fermentation in bottle followed by 24 months gaining complexity on lees. The wine therefore benefits from some lovely bottle age and is ready to be enjoyed now. 12% ABV.

The Verhaeghe family have been making wine in the Lot since the 1950s. Today it is Pascal and Jean-Marc in charge of the domaine, which is certified organic. They own three parcels of vineyards, the largest of which is 12.5 acres with stony calcareous clay which is called `Tran`, which plays an important role retaining heat and moisture. Drawing on his winemaking experience from California to Burgundy.

The nose is of redcurrants, sweet red apples and peach with suggestions of pastry and lemon shortbread. The palate is very fruit forward, thanks to the fruits of the ripe 2019 vintage. But it’s perfectly judged, bringing forward a creamy generosity to balance the taut red berry and crisp apple flavours.
