Bright colour, straw yellow with greenish reflections. nHarmonic aroma, fruity with notes of Renetta apple. Fresh, delicate, pleasantly elegant taste. Fine and persistent perlage.

Blackbook “Trouble Every Day” Pinot Noir 2022 (6 Bottles) Battersea, London, England

£177.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

A stark contrast to our core pinot noir, Nightjar, both in style and character, “Trouble Every Day” is made from a single pinot noir clone chosen for its exceptional flavour and structure. The grapes were hand picked and sorted in the vineyard and transported to our Battersea winery. Fermented naturally in small open top fermenters and aged in Burgundy oak barrels.

The wine expresses autumnal fruits, such as blackberry, bramble, black cherries and intense spice notes. The wine is refined, yet has crunchy tannins and length. Unfined and unfiltered.

Golden yellow in colour, the nose is luxuriously rich and toasty with aromas of baked orchard and citrus fruits, reminiscent of caramelised tarte tatin. The ripe chardonnay from the endless summer of 2018 blends seamlessly with autolytic pastry notes formed over 5 years of lees ageing in bottle. On the palate, the wine is full of ripe citrus fruit with a backbone of crisp, mineral acidity holding everything together.

A slight salinity and pithiness in the mouth makes this wine perfect for enjoying with seafood such as oysters or even good old fish and chips. Drink from now or leave under cork for the next couple of years and let the wine become even toastier and more opulent.

Les Vaublins Les Acacias Sauvignon Blanc (6 Bottles) Loire, France

£92.00
by Bancroft Wines

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Owned by the Deniau family, Domaine des Vaublins has been a family winery for several generations. Since 2020 the Domaine is in the hands of the current generation Nicolas and Alexandrine, and together with Cedric Allion they are making some excellent wines under his watchful eye. Their 16 hectares of vines are located on the clay and limestone hillsides on the banks of the river Cher.

This Sauvignon Blanc showcases a golden hue adorned with green undertones, displaying impeccable clarity and remarkable depth. Its nose is a one of complexity, boasting exquisite fruit notes of citrus, particularly grapefruit, alongside captivating mineral undertones. The minerality gracefully intertwines with powerful fruit flavours, most notably peach.
