Sustainability is the cornerstone of Heartland’s approach to viticulture. they encourage plantings of indigenous trees, grasses and bushes, practice rational water management, and eschew chemical treatments in the vineyards. They even have a herd of goats to keep the weeds down.
Sposa e Sposa translates from Italian as Spouse and Spouse and refers to the marriage of varietals, Dolcetto and Lagrein. A core of intense cherry red recedes to a bright crimson rim in the glass. Aromas of summer rose garden complement the foundation of plums, blueberry and blueberry.
