Our Ortega is made hand-picked grapes, harvested early October, the Ortega grapes from Kent started fermenting in our winery on the 6th of October. The pale yellow juice aged in a stainless steel tank and in a 3rd vintage oak barrel from Burgundy, before being bottled in May 2024. The wine is unfiltered, unfined and vegan friendly.
This white wine starts with a floral and citrus nose. The palate has flavours of peach, citrus and flowers leading to a long finish.
Merstone Ortega pairs perfectly with seafood, fish and chicken dishes or can be enjoyed on its own.

In addition to working with his wife Núria Altés on their ambitious joint project in Terra Alta, Herència Altés, Rafael De Haan has spent the last 10 years sourcing wines across Spain for his excellent négociant business, Bodegas Abanico. In the process he fell in love with the diverstiy of Spanish terroir, especially some lesser-known appellations and unusual varietals. This inspired him to launch the De Haan Altés Custom Cuvées project; Rafael partners with local winemakers he has known for years to craft unique, exceptionally-made cuvees that are the ultimate expressions of their respective terroirs.
Straw colour with a steely green rim. Bright and clean. Varied aromas, fruit and citrus predominating, apple and stone-fruit hints, with some flower notes. Tasty and well-structured in the mouth. Intense aftertaste with fruity and floral hints.

During the early years, Bodegas Lustau operated as an ‘Almacenista’. The Lustau family began bottling their own sherries and exporting by 1950. In the 1980s they expanded their range and introduced the Almacenista range concept of buying and maturing casks from small bodegas to share excellent quality names and styles with enthusiasts around the world. Bodegas Lustau is considered a world-class benchmark for top-quality wines.
The Lustau Vermut Rojo NV is a stunning representation of the traditional Spanish vermouth, showcasing the unique and complex flavours of Jerez. This aromatised wine is our Dorset answer to Pimms! The white base wine is Dorset grown Phoenix grapes. We bump up the ABV of these wines by fortifying with a small amount of our wine based distilled spirit. We then blend with all natural extracts and pure sugar cane. Because of the slight fortification of this wine, it has a longer shelf life once opened. We recommend a bottle of our aromatised wine can stay open in the fridge for up to 2 weeks – but we don’t expect it to last that long! This amazingly flavorful, slightly sweetened wine is best served over ice. You can serve it in a pitcher with ice and garnish with fruit, or pour into a glass over ice and top with something fizzy. It’s so refreshing and yummy it’ll become your go to sunshine sipper!
