With passion and purpose Red Hut was launched and embodies the spirit of New Zealand, they are inspired by the iconic red huts that shelter adventurers. The 2025 Red Hut Pinot Gris from Marlborough's Awatere valley is a vibrant and finely detailed expression of the variety. Aromas of freshly cut pear, lemon zest and white blossom lead into a palate that is both bright and textural. Notes of nashi pear, green apple and a hint of spice are supported by a subtle mineral edge. This Pinot gris finished long and clean, with a gentle savoury note that adds depth and complexity. Our elegant 2019 sparkling is perfect for all occasions. Pale straw in colour with a stream of fine bubbles, our brut reserve has a well-developed autolytic character on the nose with aromas of English apples, summer fruit and a toastiness on the palate. It has a rich mouth feel and will continue to develop further complexity with bottle age.
The grapes were hand harvested and whole bunch pressed. After blending, the wine underwent a secondary fermentation in bottle and then spent 36 months on its yeast lees and a further 6 months on cork in cellar. Our first disgorgement of the 2019 vintage was released to wine club members in 2023.

Winemaker's Notes: A dry, crisp and delicate rosé. The Pinot noir used to make this rosé was crushed and cold macerated for 14 hours to extract both colour and body. It then underwent fermentation 35% in American oak the remainder in stainless steel tank.
