Domaine Pinchinat has quietly been producing organic wines since 1990, long before it was a trendy word in the region. The property has belonged to the same family for over two centuries and is now expertly managed by Alain de Welle. Situated at the foot of the famous Montagne Sainte-Victoire, 25km east of Aix en Provence, the winery has 75 acres of vineyards at 280m above sea level. The soils here are composed of clay and limestone making it a haven for vine growing.

Inspired by our home, with flavours reminiscent of English cherries and a touch of spice. Coming from vineyards planted specifically for the creation of English Pinot Noir, this wine is rich, ripe and structured.
With our estate’s combination of the prime Wealden clay vineyards, Burgundy clones and careful winemaking, our winemakers have built Balfour’s reputation for producing some of England’s finest red wines. And Luke’s Pinot Noir is a superb example of a style which is growing in reputation and drinking brilliantly right now.
Here’s three reasons to try our new Pinot Noir now:
1. Cool climate excellence: this style is closer to New World Pinot Noir, rather than traditional French examples, but still comes from Burgundy clones. It’s the best of both worlds.
2. Lightly oaked: with judicious use of French and American barrels to add a savoury complexity and depth
3. Very on-trend: English red wine is a really exciting frontier, and this is a critically acclaimed example which is even served in Michelin-starred restaurants.
Our pairing guide: This is a light, summer fruit flavoured red. Our winemaker recommends serving this lightly chilled (just 10 minutes in the fridge before uncorking). The fresh fruit flavours and low tannins mean it will complement, rather than overpower, delicate flavours – making it ideal with white meats, roast vegetables, mushrooms and even herby lamb. Ferg had it with a butterflied leg of lamb marinated in harissa and Moroccan spices cooked on the BBQ and can confirm this pairing is also quite good

The Rondo is whole bunch pressed and fermented in Stainless Steel tanks to preserve the rich berry fruits. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are whole bunch pressed and aged in French oak 225L barrels to add smooth structure and body. There are aromas of Citrus, Mulberry, blackcurrants and strawberries coupled with delicious summer fruit freshness on the palate. Ideally located below Constantia Nek, just moments from the bustling Cape Town city centre, Constantia Glen is a picturesque wine estate producing ultra-premium, cool climate white and red wines. Although winemaking began in 1685, recent history begins with the Waibel family, who purchased the land in 1960. Although this land is difficult to farm – as evident by rapid change of ownership from 1813-1960 – the dedication, patience and passion of the Waibel family has proven reward.
This Sauvignon Blanc is bright and pale straw in colour with a subtle green tint. Bold tropical aromas of gooseberry and ripe white peach leap from the glass, complemented by delicate hints of stone fruit, citrus rind, and a refined chalky minerality. These vibrant aromatics seamlessly carry onto the palate, where they marry beautifully with the fresh acidity and textured mouthfeel. The wine is elegant, vibrant, and refined, with excellent fruit concentration and length. Extended lees contact and a touch of 2% Sémillon add depth and richness, balancing the crisp acidity. Made in a classic unwooded style, this Sauvignon Blanc is a delightful drink now, but it will evolve beautifully with 5 to 8 years of ageing under optimal cellaring conditions.

Settimo Pizzolato is the fifth generation of grower at the estate, a man full of charisma and innovative wisdom. The vines at the Pizzolato estate are on pebbly banks of river deposit, which are irrigated by concrete channels that were put in in the 1950s during Italy’s reconstruction post-war. The wines always deliver simple, fresh flavours and they always deliver consistent results, whether you are enjoying them in New York, Tokyo or Seattle.
