Tamesis is a collaboration between Blackbook and Forty Hall, London’s only certified organic vineyard. This was the first wine both grown and made in London, in modern times when we initially released the 2018 vintage.
Fermented using natural yeasts in a combination of old French oak barrels and steel tank; followed by naturally occurring malolactic fermentation and aged for 7 months on gross lees. A wine that truly expresses the varietal essence with nuances of elderflower, white peach, and white pepper with touches of sweet spices and tropical fruit. Unfined and unfiltered.

English-grown Bacchus grapes produce aromatic, fresh and crisp wines similar in style to Sauvignon Blanc but with their own distinctive aroma profile.
As is typical of the varietal, our 2022 Bacchus is pale, with a crisp light mouth feel and recogniseable aromatic complexity.
The diversity of aromas can range from herbaceous (tomato leaf, basil, sage, nettle, asparagus, grassy) to citrus (lime zest, lemon, grapefruit) to tropical fruit (medlar, mango, passionfruit) to floral (elderflower, honeysuckle) with the intensity ranging from punchy and intense to more subtle and elegant.
Our style of Bacchus aims for intriguing aromatic complexity and subtle elegance which we believe the 2022 delivers in abundance.
More about the Bacchus grape
The variety originated in Germany in the 1930’s as a cross between Muller-Thurgau and Silvaner x Riesling which has helped contribute to its complex nature. In order to enhance this complexity and build ‘terroir-character’ into our wines we blend multiple unique batches picked on different dates, split into different press fractions and fermented with different yeasts.
Food Match Suggestions: The crisp acidity and freshness makes Bacchus perfect as an appetising aperitif wine. It also pairs beautifully with English asparagus or goats cheese as well as seafood such as dressed shellfish or stronger flavoured salads such as Caesar or rocket.

This is the sixth release of a Still Sauvignon Blanc at Greyfriars and quite possibly our best yet.
It is an intense, dry and wonderfully aromatic white wine, with an elegant bouquet expressing a perfect mix of elderflower, gooseberry and greengage.
Fresh and zippy with ripe gooseberry fruit on the palate leading to a delicately herbaceous finish reminiscent of fresh garden peas.

An exquisitely elegant sparkling rosé wine showing great finesse.
It has a delicate salmon-pink hue with tiny bubbles. Enticing aromas of wild strawberries and white peach mingle with a hint of rosehip. There are subtle autolytic notes of vanilla-scented brioche and scones with cream.
The mousse is soft and creamy with beautifully integrated bubbles. On the palate, fresh summer berries including cranberry and redcurrant meet stone fruits, nectarine and wild apricot. Makarounas Winery is a family winery located on the beautiful village of Letymbou, a region with a long tradition in vine growing. Letymbou is located 14 kilometres east of the city of Pafos, on the west coast of Cyprus, and the Makarounas family have a viticultural history dating back four generations in the region. Makarounas Winery has the privilege of being the only winery in Cyprus that sources grapes solely from their privately-owned vineyards. The winery produces wines of ample power but with excellent drinkability, with a focus on indigenous grape varieties of Cyprus and organic viticulture.
This 100% Xynisteri is own-rooted bush vines ranging from 20-101 years old. The wine bursts with the flavour of preserved lemons, seasalt, and fresh citrus.

Beautifully balanced and white gold in colour, it has a natural richness and floral bouquet. A portion of this wine is matured in oak barrels then it is aged for 36 months in our underground cave before hand disgorge and finishing.
