Biddenden Vineyards Ortega (6 Bottles) Biddenden, Kent, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Semi-aromatic on the nose, displaying appealing fresh aromas of green apple, grapefruit, cut grass and flora, whilst the palate is medium bodied, crisp and deliciously fruity. May be served as an aperitif, this white would also pair well with lightly spicy dishes and seafood.
Ortega is our signature wine and was one of the first varieties planted in 1969. We have been producing our popular Biddenden Ortega since 1972, and have kept the original Germanic style label as a historical memento.
Biddenden was one of the first vineyards to plant Ortega in the UK in the late 1960’s. Today Ortega covers just over half of the vineyard. Ortega grapes ripen early and are known for their low acidity and high sugar levels. Ortega is widely used in dry still wines, and can also be used to make sweet wines.

Furleigh Estate Bacchus Fumé NV (6 Bottles) Bridport, Dorset, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
A brilliantly food-friendly, aromatic dry white wine with hints of tropical fruit.
Star-bright medium lemon with good legs. Ripe stone fruits of peach and nectarine mingle with passion-flower and lime-blossom alongside kiwifruit and exotic mandarin. Tropical fruits explode on the palate including pineapple, mango and guava with a touch of lime zest and gooseberry fool.
Very subtle oak integration gives a hint of vanilla and coconut on the finish. It has a slightly richer, creamy mouthfeel and well-balanced acidity with lingering flavours that pack quite a fruity punch.

Excellent served chilled with oriental Thai chicken green curry or aromatic Asian fish stew infused with lemongrass, ginger and kaffir lime. Enjoy it with oven-roasted whole fish such as sea bass or sea bream cooked ‘en papillotte’ with herbs such as coriander or parsley. Also good with Mediterranean vegetables and stuffed vine-leaves. Or try it with oven-baked camembert with rosemary dunked in chunks of artisan bread.

"Chilli" the cat stumbled across us on his travels during June 2021 and decided to adopt us and make Chiltern Valley his new home! We welcomed him with open arms and this very special black cat is loved, adored and spoilt rotten by all his humans!! During the summer months "Chilli" may join you in the court yard to enjoy some summer sun, a few cuddles and of course to see what delights you are enjoying from the on-site food truck! Every year to pay homage to this special lad we name a wine after him (which of course he chooses!!) and this year is his delicious "Chilli Cat Cuvee", cheers "Chilli".
