More cranberry than strawberry, this is classic Balfour; dry, precise and powerful. Richer than some of its predecessors, the 2019 reflects one of the best years in English viticultural history. A complex wine that is more than just primary fruit, there are notes of burnt orange combined with a wonderful herbaceous note on the finish.
Balfour Brut Rosé is one of England’s most recognisable wines, our flagship, and for six years the only wine made by Balfour. It is a single-vineyard wine from our Oast House Meadow vineyard, planted in 2002 with clones and rootstocks specifically chosen to make a world-class sparkling rosé.

This delectable white Pinot Noir has a delicate golden colour. Its expressive nose brings rose petals, peach, orange zest and apricot in an elegant bouquet. Our ever-popular Pet Nat is back! A purely natural wine, fermented by natural yeasts with no added sulphites. It is a light, refreshing, slightly cloudy sparkling wine and is absolutely the perfect summer drink. We bottled during harvest while the wine was still frementing, keeping a light fizz in the bottle. It has a slight yeast sediment adding a great yeasty edge to the fruit aromas. The wine will gain yeasty aromas as it ages.
This is a natural wine in every way and is difficult to make, so we only use the best grapes available to us that we know will end up with the right flavours and balance in the wine.

Blackberry and black cherry on the nose, red berry fruits too and subtle musky perfume.
There is gentle baking spice character, reminiscent of demerara sugar – but not sweet! The palate is medium bodied, filled with concentrated berries and baked citrus.
Despite it’s extensive time on lees, the autolysis sits gently, giving elegant texture and pastry on finish. A clean, rich finish.

Complex aromas of toast, brioche, coffee, honey and fig on the nose are backed up by fresh tangerine and satsuma citrus notes on the palate. This is a great example of English Sparkling Wine at its finest. We will only make this wine in excellent years and in limited quantities.
First release of our signature premium blend is made from only our finest cuvees with minimal intervention techniques – no fining, no filtration and prolonged barrel maturation in a mixture of old and new oak prior to blending and bottling . The wine then spent over 4 years in bottle on-lees ageing in our cellars prior to disgorging leading to a beautifully concentrated and complex layered wine with perfect poise and balance.

A refined English sparkling wine showcasing elegance and complexity, Premier Cuvée is a testament to expert craftsmanship. Aged for 36 months on lees, this wine opens with enticing aromas of crisp green apples, zesty lemons, warm honey, and subtle baked bread.
On the palate, a vibrant, fruit-driven profile emerges, led by citrus notes of lemon and lime, followed by layers of green apple and apricot. A delicate autolytic character of toasted nuts and honeyed toast adds depth and richness. Laser-like acidity keeps the wine precise and refreshing, culminating in a clean, enduring finish.

• 48.5% Chardonnay: Adds finesse and bright acidity.
• 33% Pinot Noir: Contributes structure and red fruit nuances.
• 18.5% Pinot Meunier: Provides roundness and richness.

A cool climate grape variety most similar to a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc.
