Josef Chromy is one of Tasmania's most famous influential wine figures, having owned and developed some of the state's most prominent wineries, including Rochecombe (now Bay Of Fires), Jansz, Tamar Ridge and Heemskerk vineyards. In 2007 he established the winery that would bear his name, which quickly became one of Tasmania's leading wine producers.
The Pinot Noir 2023 showcases an abundance of deep red berry fruits, accompanied by notes of cinnamon spice and subtle oak toast. On the palate, it delivers a rich and generous experience with dark red fruits, supple tannins, and a smooth, lingering finish.

The Cape Mentelle journey is a true labour of love, born from humble beginnings in 1970 with just sixteen hectares of vines. Fast forward to today, and this iconic winery has carefully crafted each blend to showcase the unique characteristics of its terroir, resulting in wines that are both complex and approachable.
This wine is a symphony of citrus and tropical flavours, bursting with energy and vibrancy. The nose is a riot of yellow grapefruit pith, green mango, and crushed lime leaf. On the palate, the flavours explode in a juicy mix of green melon, passionfruit, and guava, perfectly balanced by a succulent citrus acidity that leaves you wanting more. This aromatised wine is our Dorset answer to “blush” wine or dessert in a glass! The rosé base wine is Dorset grown Regent grapes. We bump up the ABV of these wines by fortifying with a small amount of our wine based distilled spirit. We then blend with all natural extracts and pure sugar cane. Because of the slight fortification of this wine, it has a longer shelf life once opened. We recommend a bottle of our aromatised wine can stay open in the fridge for up to 2 weeks – but we don’t expect it to last that long! This amazingly flavorful, slightly sweetened wine is best served chilled, but can be enjoyed just under room temp as well. You can serve it in a pitcher with ice and garnish with fruit, or pour into a glass over ice and top with something fizzy. It’s so fruity, yet complex, it will pair with a surprising amount of savory and spicy foods!
