Bacchus grapes are particularly well suited to our High Weald terroir, and produce a fresh, aromatic, crisp white wine. This 2023 vintage shows all the benefits of the long hot summer in the UK last year and is slightly more rounded and nuanced than our previous vintages, with strong aromas of pear and gooseberry on the nose and palate and with a deliciously smooth finish. A cool climate grape variety most similar to a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc. It is characterised by intense aromas of citrus, elderflower and grapefruit combined with a fruity palate of apple, elderflower and herbaceous notes. Our Anne of Cleves wine has a medium dry finish. This wine was made from organically grown grapes.

Using the Charmat method, a production technique favoured by many Italian and German producers of quality sparkling wine, we were able to produce a different style of wine giving a more fruit driven, easy drinking and approachable style.

Furleigh Estate Pinot Rosé 2023 (6 Bottles) Bridport, Dorset, England

Delightful dry and delicate rosé packed with soft summer fruits. It has a very pale salmon colour and fine legs. On the nose, enticing aromas of wild strawberry and redcurrant are enhanced by peach melba, nectarine and kumquat. Appealing flavours of rosehip, redcurrant and whitecurrant dance on the palate with a touch of ruby grapefruit. It is subtle and elegant with uplifting acidity and freshness which gives it a lively mouthfeel. Savour the juicy flavour on the vibrant long finish.
