The word Bulari is derived from the Latin word Bullarum, meaning bubbles. The Cotswolds, in which the Poulton Hill Estate is located, is steeped in Roman history, with the Roman town of Cirencester close by.
A beautiful pale gold in appearance, this Bulari has a vibrant nose of freshly cut green apple and pear with citrusy notes of orange peel, lemon and hints of lime zest. The palate is filled with mouth-watering fruits of juicy apple at the forefront, hints of grapefruit and lemon (sherbet) together with a fine mousse creates a wonderfully well rounded mouthfeel with a crisp, clean finish.

About Poulton Hill Estate
Poulton Hill Estate Vineyard is part of the dynamic English winemaking movement, producing award-winning wines from the picturesque Cotswold countryside. Established in 2010 near the historic towns of Cirencester and Cheltenham, the estate boasts 9,750 vines planted on sunny, south-facing slopes. These vines yield up to 20,000 bottles of wine annually, alongside a selection of English spirits crafted from hand-harvested grapes.
The estate cultivates grape varieties such as Bacchus, Seyval Blanc, Phoenix, Pinot Noir, Regent, and Rondo, all chosen for their compatibility with the local climate, geography, and soil. Under the expertise of a skilled contract winemaker and distiller, these varieties are blended and balanced to produce an exceptional range of white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines, as well as spirits.
Poulton Hill Estate’s ethos centres on environmental stewardship. Beyond being environmentally conscious, the estate takes active steps to support sustainability. Rare-breed Jacob’s Sheep and Olde English Babydoll Southdown Sheep graze the vineyard and orchard, providing natural weed control and enriching the soil without damaging the vines. Wildflowers are planted to support the insect population, fostering biodiversity across the estate.
This commitment to sustainable practises ensures that every bottle produced at Poulton Hill Estate reflects not only the beauty of its Cotswold surroundings but also a dedication to preserving and enhancing the environment. Visitors can enjoy the fruits of this labour through wines and spirits that embody quality, care, and a connection to nature.

Albourne Estate Multi-Vintage Sparkling (6 Bottles) Albourne, West Sussex, England

As its name suggests this wine is made of selected base wines from multiple vintages to produce an approachable and immediately enjoyable style. Others call this style ‘non-vintage’ – we just prefer the name ‘multi-vintage’! The blend of this wine will vary slightly each year in order to maintain a consistent style, but it will typically be a combination of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir or Pinot Meunier and will undergo 3 years on-lees ageing.
Generous and soft on the palate, this wine is open and expressive, exhibiting delightful panettone-like aromas of sweet baked bread, dried apricots, nuts and candied citrus peels.
Albourne Estate Red Pinot Noir 2019 (6 Bottles) Albourne, West Sussex, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
This is our second vintage of Red Pinot Noir and displays a deeper, richer ruby colour and a more complex nose than our 2018 version. This is partly due to the vintage and partly due to increased use of the ‘saignee’ method during winemaking. The nose offers aromas of rich dark berries including black cherries backed by notes of cigarbox, black olives and dark chocolate. On the palate it delivers excellent body for a cool climate Pinot Noir with mature soft tannins, a balanced mouthfeel and a harmonious lingering finish. All of this wine has spent 12 months in a mix of new and old French oak barrels before being bottled by hand, unfined and unfiltered, under cork to allow gentle ageing.
Highly enjoyable with charcuteries cheese and nuts as an aperitif and great with a casserole or barbecued meats and vegetables.

Black Chalk Classic Sparkling White 2021 (6 Bottles) Andover, Hampshire, England

A sophisticated blend of 50% Chardonnay, 38% Pinot Noir, and 12% Pinot Meunier, this wine embodies elegance and precision. The Chardonnay-led profile delivers a vibrant fruit focus, while a touch of malolactic fermentation adds a layer of richness and texture, perfectly balanced by the wine’s hallmark freshness.
On the palate, expect a textured and full-bodied experience, supported by bright acidity (8.5g/l) and subtle sweetness (5.4g/l residual sugar). The wine is aged for a minimum of 22 months on lees, enhancing complexity, with an additional 6 months on cork post-disgorgement to ensure perfect integration.
A versatile choice for any occasion. Enjoy as an aperitif with crisps and canapés, or elevate everyday dining by pairing with fried chicken. For a more refined match, complement its freshness and texture with shellfish such as oysters, crab, or prawns.
