Red Blend is a beautifully versatile red wine crafted by combining two or more grape varieties—such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, or Mourvèdre—to offer a harmonious and layered drinking experience. This blending tradition dates back centuries, with classic styles like Bordeaux blends and Rhône GSM (Grenache–Syrah–Mourvèdre) being foundational examples.
Each component grape brings its unique strengths: Cabernet Sauvignon contributes structure and blackcurrant depth; Merlot adds lush fruit and plush texture; Syrah imparts peppery spice; Grenache brings juicy red fruit and warmth; while Mourvèdre offers earthy depth and floral nuance.

Monte del Frà (meaning ‘land of the monks’) gets its name from the late 15th century, when a group of Friars formed a monastery on the land. Some hundred years later, the friars leased 25 hectares for the cultivation of vineyards and fruit trees. You can, in fact, still see this document today in the Vienna’s historic library. Fast forward several centuries, and Monte del Frà is now in the very capable hands of the Bonomo family. For over six decades the family have farmed this land, now resting firmly with the third generation; Marica, Silvia and Massimo Bonomo.
Vibrant ruby red colour. Fruity and spicy aromas such as red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cranberry, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper. Light body with medium acidity, fruity and spicy the flavours remains true to the nose.
