Red Blend is a beautifully versatile red wine crafted by combining two or more grape varieties—such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, or Mourvèdre—to offer a harmonious and layered drinking experience. This blending tradition dates back centuries, with classic styles like Bordeaux blends and Rhône GSM (Grenache–Syrah–Mourvèdre) being foundational examples.
Each component grape brings its unique strengths: Cabernet Sauvignon contributes structure and blackcurrant depth; Merlot adds lush fruit and plush texture; Syrah imparts peppery spice; Grenache brings juicy red fruit and warmth; while Mourvèdre offers earthy depth and floral nuance.
The result is a wine that’s often smoother, more complex, and greater than the sum of its parts—ideal for UK consumers seeking bold flavours, approachable structure, and excellent value. Back in our cellars once more following on from successful 2018 & 2020 vintages. This Rondo and Regent blend has been fermented on skins for three weeks and pressed into tank; before transferred into barrel. Individual Regent and Rondo barrels were selected to create this 50:50 blend.
Subtle oak notes on the nose merge well with black forest fruits and floral notes. A richer, darker palate than the single variety Regent yet a softer, smoother finish. 11.5%

An exciting ruby red medium-bodied English wine. Dedham Vale Reserve yields inviting red berry aromas while developing complex flavours of redcurrants, raspberries and liquorice, leavened by gentle tannins from time spent ageing in French Limousine oak barrels that linger lovingly on the palate.
It is made by blending four different varieties of grape - Rondo, Dornfelder, Dunkelfelder and Pinot Noir. It is drinking well now at 16°C and will develop over the coming years. The Reserve is a perfect accompaniment to all meat and pasta dishes and an imaginative alternative to Claret.

Our award winning red is a vibrant blend of Pinot Noir and Rondo which takes its name from the historic St Edmundsbury Cathedral which once grew vines within its abbey walls. This rare creation is Eglantine’s first red wine for a decade! Made from the grapes of a small quantity of red grape vines.
