Sparkling Rosé

Sparkling Rosé is one of the most stylish and versatile sparkling wine styles, instantly recognisable for its delicate pink hue and lively bubbles. Produced either by allowing brief skin contact with red grapes or by blending a touch of red wine into a white base, it captures both freshness and fruitiness in one glass.

In style, Sparkling Rosé ranges from pale salmon to vibrant pink, offering aromas of strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant, and rose petals, sometimes lifted by citrus or floral notes. On the palate, it is typically crisp and refreshing, with bright acidity and soft red fruit flavours. Drier versions lean elegant and mineral, while slightly off-dry examples show a juicier, fruit-forward charm.

For UK drinkers, Sparkling Rosé is perfect for celebrations, summer sipping, or pairing with food. It complements smoked salmon, charcuterie, chicken, seafood, salads, and soft cheeses, making it as versatile as it is celebratory.

Rosé Ex Machina isn't a wine we taste, rather, it's a wine we drink, consume, inhale – such is its opulence and indulgence. It looks, smells, tastes gorgeous. Nectar from the heavens; a wine from the sky.

Like Deus Ex Machina – an act of divine intervention in Greek tragedy that resolves the seemingly impossible on stage – Rosé Ex Machina was the result of our own much needed bolt from the blue in 2016: an initially difficult vintage saved by a glut of grapes from Jenkyn Place vineyard that were, quite literally, perfect.

Fortune struck again in 2018 – a year that wasn't just full of sunshine, but was relentlessly warm and bright from start to finish, without a puff of wind, and virtually no rain. That remarkable summer is evident at its core.

With four and a half years on lees, and another twelve months in bottle, the 2018 Rosé Ex Machina is serene and expansive. Blood orange one minute and wild raspberries the next; juicy and creamy, but with razor-sharp focus – it's tasting better than ever.
