Established in 1692, Hartenberg Estate should need little introduction, as one of South Africa’s oldest wineries. With a philosophy of combining decades of experience and knowledge of the local terroir and an innovative attitude to how it is cared for. Promoting biodiversity and soil health the estate has established a culture of regenerative farming, a system that allows the crafting of wines through environmentally conscious and sustainable methods. The estate has been rated as one of South Africa’s 1st Growth producers by wine critic Tim Atkin MW.

This Chardonnay is an enchanting blend of orange blossom, subtle notes of toasty brioche and bright citrus fruit on the bouquet, all enhanced by a pronounced limey intensity. Lean and linear in structure, hints of peaches and cream add a delicate layer of complexity, underscored by a zesty citrus note culminating in a long and satisfying finish.

13% ABV. Vegan Friendly.

£178.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Our Classic Method sparkling wine made with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.

Beautifully balanced and white gold in colour, it has a natural richness and floral bouquet. A portion of this wine is matured in oak barrels then it is aged for 36 months in our underground cave before hand disgorge and finishing.

Nutty Vintage can compete with any sparkling wine in the world. Great for lavish entertaining and special celebrations, it is a lovely aperitif to pair with canapés, oysters, smoked salmon and quail eggs. It is also a treat to cut the sweetness of rich chocolatey desserts.

GOLD medal winner at WineGB Awards 2022

The art: Just as Nutbourne wines are only made from grapes grown on the estate, every bottle features Bridget Gladwin’s paintings. This artwork is of the vine in Winter – old intertwined wood, resting after producing the wine, which is gently maturing in the cave.

Oxney Estate Organic Wines Chardonnay 2022 (6 Bottles) Rye, East Sussex, England

£172.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

A Chardonnay that just keeps getting better and better! Fresh and bright on the nose and mouth, with lemon, citrus zest and a lovely savoury salinity. This Chardonnay is a real winner to enjoy on it’s own or alongside fish and chicken dishes served with creamy lemon and dill sauces. Is your mouth watering yet?

The fruit was picked mid October, de-stemmed and pressed with partial wild yeast fermentation with over 70% in oak barrels, 5.4% of it new, and the rest of the ferment in stainless steel.

The 2022 was one of those glorious wine grape growing years. Spring started out mild and frost free. Summer brought so much sun along with the heat and drought, the clay soils loved it! Autumn was kind enough to offer a bountiful harvest and perfect ripeness for our still wines.
