Silky smooth and fruity on the palate with integrated tannins leaving a textured finish. The wine has not been cold stabilised and might throw a small crystalline deposit. This is harmless and demonstrates its minimal handling.
An early ripening clone of Pinot Noir that was hand harvested in October from our own small parcel and Martin’s Lane vineyard in Essex.
50% semi-carbonic maceration using a fruit-forward yeast strain and 50% crushed fruit using a classic Burgundian yeast.

To build texture and complexity the Estate Bacchus was 82% fermented in stainless steel and 18% in neutral Burgundy barrels with periodic lees stirring. Delicate and floral with flavours of ripe orchard fruits and spring blossom. The palate is full, with very subtle influence from the neutral barrels, supporting flavours of juicy nectarine and red apple skin.

With passion and purpose Red Hut was launched and embodies the spirit of New Zealand, they are inspired by the iconic red huts that shelter adventurers. This Central Otago Pinot Noir has aromas of cherry, redcurrant and thyme are underpinned by hints of rose petal and subtle spice. Fine tannins frame the vibrant red fruit, savoury undertones and a touch of earthiness from the whole bunch. Champagne Gaston Chiquet has been passed down through eight generations since 1746, when Nicolas Chiquet planted his first vines. It was brothers Fernand and Gaston who, in 1919, made the bold decision to keep their grapes and producer their own wine. Since 2003, this property has been in the very capable hands of brothers Antoine and Nicolas Chiquet. Together with Marion (Antoine’s daughter) they work 23 hectares of vineyards in Dizy, Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Hautvillers.
Golden yellow hue, fine mousse. Fresh nose of dried fruit (apricot) with a hint of citrus. Smooth palate (Meunier); fresh, balanced and fruity (fresh apricot, white peach, citrus); aromatic finish.

Bluebell Ashdown Merlot 2020 (6 Bottles) Furners Green, East Sussex, England

Ashdown Boundary Block is made from 100% Merlot grapes. Aged in old oak barrels for 19 months. Light to medium bodied with a ruby to garnet hue. On the nose aromas of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry, almond, rhubarb, Cherry Bakewell and vanilla leading to flavors of cooked cherries, black currant jam, vanilla, cranberries and blackberries.
It is smooth with a good length. Its tannin structure is well balanced and delicate, while still delivering an intense and complex taste. Enjoy this wine with roast beef, mushroom risotto, or game dishes. Well-balanced acidity and medium body create a crisp, lively texture that carries to a refreshing finish. Pairs perfectly with shellfish, fresh salads, and a variety of cheeses.

Juliet Victor Estate Furmint 2021 (6 Bottles) Tokaj, Hungary

Juliet Victor is a relatively young estate, founded in 2015 by József Váradi. Located in the heart of Hungary’s Tokaj region, in the historic town of Mád, Juliet Victor has 25 hectares – some of the highest quality and historically significant areas. The estate uses the same handpicked Furmint grapes to produce dry wines as well as blends with Hárslevelu and Muskotály for their sweet Szamorodni and Late Harvest wines. The vines are on average 45-50 years old but the Bomboly vineyard includes some vines that are over 100 years old.
The aroma is clean, developing, apple and green apple aromas, mild herbal, chamomile character, which is accompanied by a mineral, salty nose. On the palate the wine is dry, with medium acidity, medium loose structure, citrus, vanilla, apple, salty aromas, with a moderately long finish. Balanced, rich white wine which can be drink now or even in 2-5 years. The recommended food pairing for the wine is vitello tonnato, truffle, capers, ruccola.

Harvested from our vineyard in Wiltshire, this wine pairs perfectly with duck and lamb, or simply enjoy on its own. We recommend to serve this wine on the colder side of room temperature. Some English red wines offer a better taste when served chilled and this wine is no exception to that. However, if you prefer your wine wines on the warmer side this wine can do either.
