Nutbourne Blush 2022 (6 Bottles) Pulborough, West Sussex, England

A delightful dry blush rosé wine made from a combined pressing of our Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, with just enough skin contact to give a lovely pale pink hue. With geranium on the nose, it has a gentle wild strawberry acidity, soft citrus, redcurrant and floral herbaceous notes on the palate.
A wine for quaffing on a summer's afternoon in an English country garden with friends. Serve with hors d’oeuvres or light salads, such as smoked duck breast with white peaches. Perfect with a little caviar on dill blini.
The art: Just as Nutbourne wines are only made from grapes grown on the estate, every bottle features Bridget Gladwin’s paintings. This painting depicts the top of our Southdown vineyard with the windbreak line of poplar trees in midsummer. You can feel the heat haze running through the image, ripening and developing the flavours in the grapes.

A lighter take on Sauvignon Blanc due to its earlier picked and moderate credentials but no less flavoursome. Anthonij Rupert Wyne was founded on the farm, L’Ormarins in Franschhoek. Originally owned by the late Anthonij Rupert, who passed away in 2001, the farm was eventually taken over by his brother Johann Rupert in 2003 and the brand named after him. It was Johann Rupert who constructed a state-of-theart winemaking facility, catapulting the farm into a prestigious wine estate. The focus is on terroir specific wines and therefore it would seem obvious that the brand is made up of an impressive portfolio of farms representing the best in grape producing locations. The portfolio is made up of L’Ormarins from Franschhoek, Rooderust from Darling, Riebeeksrivier from the Swartland and Altima from isolated Elandskloof. Each site offers optimum varietal specific growing conditions, allowing Anthonij Rupert Wyne to adhere to the requirements of their different brands.
A lively stream of fine bubbles lifts aromas of sherbet and lemon cream biscuits on the nose. On the palate, it is vibrant, fresh, and crisp, with the bright citrus flavours hinted at on the nose immediately coming through. Tangy lime and grapefruit are complemented by a marmalade twist, while subtle notes of apple and toast add complexity and depth. The wine is beautifully balanced, elegant, and composed, finishing with a smooth, dry conclusion.

Chilcomb Valley Classic Cuveé Brut NV (6 Bottles) Winchester, Hampshire, England

The latest release of our highly successful Classic Cuvée Brut that was originally released in 2019, and sold out quickly.
This new release is made from grapes from the excellent 2019 and 2020 vintages. Made from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, secondary fermentation in bottle followed by 24 months gaining complexity on lees. The wine therefore benefits from some lovely bottle age and is ready to be enjoyed now. 12% ABV.

A Chardonnay that just keeps getting better and better! Fresh and bright on the nose and mouth, with lemon, citrus zest and a lovely savoury salinity. This Chardonnay is a real winner to enjoy on it’s own or alongside fish and chicken dishes served with creamy lemon and dill sauces. Is your mouth watering yet?
The fruit was picked mid October, de-stemmed and pressed with partial wild yeast fermentation with over 70% in oak barrels, 5.4% of it new, and the rest of the ferment in stainless steel.
The 2022 was one of those glorious wine grape growing years. Spring started out mild and frost free. Summer brought so much sun along with the heat and drought, the clay soils loved it! Autumn was kind enough to offer a bountiful harvest and perfect ripeness for our still wines.
