Our wonderful Sloe de Vie displays delicious fruit flavours of sloes hand-picked at the peak of ripeness following our harvest on the vineyard in 2015. Once fermented, the sloe wine was triple distilled and then bottled.
The delicate aromas and freshness of the fruit have been preserved, resulting in a spirit of exceptional smoothness. It is a wonderful digestif, and is the perfect way to round off a special meal.

The Cape Mentelle journey is a true labour of love, born from humble beginnings in 1970 with just sixteen hectares of vines. Fast forward to today, and this iconic winery has carefully crafted each blend to showcase the unique characteristics of its terroir, resulting in wines that are both complex and approachable.
This wine is a symphony of citrus and tropical flavours, bursting with energy and vibrancy. The nose is a riot of yellow grapefruit pith, green mango, and crushed lime leaf. Our rosé is made from pinot noir grapes sourced from Clayhill Vineyard in nearby Essex. The grapes are hand-picked into small crates then travel the short distance to our winery in Battersea. After a short cold soak, the grapes are pressed and fermented in old French oak.
The wine spends a further 8 months on lees in tank and barrel and 1 year in bottle prior to release. The result is an expressive and textured rosé with elements of strawberries and cream and ripe red cherry.
