On the palate, there’s lots of tropical fruits, fresh citrus, white peach and a salty mineral note. Founded in 1825, Champagne Joseph Perrier has been owned and run by the same family since 1888. The cellars stretch over three kilometres and date back to the Gallo-Roman period. All the wines are made with a keen focus on freshness and purity, a theme which runs right through the range and really shows its worth in the vintage cuvées which show impressive energy and poise and remarkable ageing potential.
A brilliant, light-golden yellow hue with delicate copper highlights, offering an elegant visual allure. On the nose, it opens with a refined and subtle bouquet, revealing layers of apples, pears, and white peaches, gradually giving way to more exotic hints of pineapple. The palate is vibrant yet smooth, striking a harmonious balance between complexity, freshness, and body. A generous length of pink grapefruit, almonds and biscuit pastry rounds off this complex wine.
The fruit was harvested by hand from our own vines and a parcel from Martin's Lane Vineyard in the Crouch Valley, Essex. To express the complexity of the Bacchus grape, we use a multitude of techniques that respect both the traditional and more novel methods of winemaking.
