Oxney Estate Organic Wines Woodhouse Pinot (6 Bottles) Rye, East Sussex, England
FREE SHIPPING WITHIN UK MAINLAND
Woodhouse Pinot is a light and fruity red with lovely complexities and exceedingly moreish!
The demand for red wines in the UK is high, and we created this multi vintage wine to take advantage of those years that are very kind, providing heaps of ripe red fruit, as well as those years where it is a bit more of a struggle.
Each year we will add to a perpetual reserve, much like the soleras system used for making sherry, whereby we partially remove wine from barrels each year for bottling, then top up those same barrels with wine from the current vintage.
This not only blends the wine for a fairly consistent flavour profile, but is also gives the wine an opportunity to become more balanced as each vintage comes and goes. From tannins and acidity, to fruity notes and savoury notes. Bottled un-fined and un-filtered.
Enjoy at lunch or dinner with many different foods or all on it’s own. This delightful red wine may be a little too easy drinking!

In the mouth, this wine shows delicious texture, supple and delicate tannins, with strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant notes paired with eucalytpus aromas, giving a very fresh and intense wine. We find also white pepper and spicy notes, ending on delicate oaky notes giving roundness and a beautiful long finish. It`s a brillant wine, ready to drink now but with a few years ageing potential."

2017 vintage review in The Times by Jane Macquitty 'Bob and Sam make England’s best pink bubble in a pretty corner of the Cornish countryside. It’s constantly classy, champagne-method gem and bursts with zingy crushed-strawberry fruit. Wonder to the park with this and have a wonderful time. '
