Plumpton Estate Brut Reserve is a powerful blend of Reising,
Seyval Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Regner. The base wine is
fermented in tank, then again once in bottle. This wine has
been aged for five years on lees to infuse pronounced
tertiary aromas. The unique blend of several varieties
produces a one-of-a-kind, alternative wine to traditional
method champagne varietal wines.

Melbury Vale Elegance (6 Bottles) Shaftesbury, Dorset, England

This dry English wine comes from grapes that grow at a property Melbury Vale co-manages locally. The breakdown is about 80% Bacchus grapes, with the remaining 20% coming from a traditionally German variety called Reichensteiner. Both varieties of white grapes ripen very well in the cool Dorset climate, producing crisp approachable dry wines. Reichensteiner is a light, floral grape that is perfect for blending. Bacchus is well known as the “Sauvignon Blanc of the UK” so we know Sauvignon Blanc lovers, or lovers of any refreshing, dry white wines will love our Elegance. On the nose we get bright grapefruit and elderflower aromas, on the palate we also have notes pink grapefruit accompanied by undertones of white peach and fresh herbs.
Food Pairings: one of the only wines out there that is a spectacular pairing for spring asparagus, but is also a perfect compliment to all fresh vegetable dishes.

A complex wine that is more than just primary fruit, there are notes of burnt orange combined with a wonderful herbaceous note on the finish.
Balfour Brut Rosé is one of England’s most recognisable wines, our flagship, and for six years the only wine made by Balfour. It is a single-vineyard wine from our Oast House Meadow vineyard, planted in 2002 with clones and rootstocks specifically chosen to make a world-class sparkling rosé.

Eglantine Mead has a reputation for being one of the most authentic honey drinks in the country. It has a rich honey nose, a smooth feel on the palate and the delicious lingering flavour. A lovely nose of soft apple blossom and gentle apricot lead to a palate that is just dry but deliciously fresh and easy to get along with. The apricot follows on from the nose and is combined with rounded citrus fruits – mainly subtle orange and lemon. Produced from Ortega grapes, this wine is just great on its own but will work very well with white fish dishes and salads.
