Elegant, smooth red made from 100% Pinot Noir
An elegant. smooth red with an air of sophistication. Very pale ruby with a few fine legs. It has an appealing floral scent of peonies and violet that mingle with soft ripe summer fruits including red cherry, plum and raspberry plus a subtle hint of vanilla and mildly toasted notes. The palate is vibrant and bursting with bright, juicy red fruits such as strawberry, morello cherry, redcurrant and rosehip.
It is wonderfully smooth with silky tannins that melt into the wine and savoury undertones that give it depth of flavour. This delicious Pinot Noir shows excellent balance with uplifting freshenss and seamless integration of a trace of oak plus lingering finish.

This is a perfect and exact blend between Pinot Noir, chosen for its red fruits aroma, its body, depth of flavour and fullness, and Pinot Meunier, our favourite, for its aromatic sweetness, a lush fruitiness and the capacity to acquire the roundness of age comparatively rapidly. The Pinot Noir grape provides the back-bone of our wine, whilst the Pinot Meunier lends softeners and orchard fruit aromas. A beautifully rich golden colour as well as an intense nose with red fruit aromas, such as red cherry, cranberry and redcurrant, are enticing us to take a first sip. Complex nose with aromas of juicy stone fruits, hazelnut and citrus zest wrapped around a core of minerality. The palate is rich, poised and expressive, with great texture and balance. The finish is long and focused, with lingering flavours of ripe nectarine and crushed almonds.

Made with the rare Kernling grape, a variety related to Reisling and shares it's aging potential. Our Leonora's wines happily age for more than 10 years, developing honey and orange blossom.
The 2018 vintage is dry, complex and starting to develop the classic "petrol" aromas associated with good Reisling and the lemon/lime is evolving into pink grapefruit. Pairs well with anything you would squeeze lemon on (oysters, perhaps?).

Gardner Street has the classic floral, elderflower note we have come to know of contemporary Bacchus, married with a touch of ripe stone fruit from the barrel fermented Chardonnay.
Sourced from vineyard partners in Essex and Kent we harvested the vineyard parcels separately and fermented as small lots to allow the expression of their respective sites to shine through. 30% of the blend was fermented in neutral 300L French oak barrels and
allowed to go through malolactic fermentation, while the remaining parcels were fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel and did not go through malolactic fermentation.
