Westwell Pelegrim Sparkling NV (6 Bottles) Westwell, Kent, England

£186.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Pelegrim means Pilgrim in middle English (circa 12th century) and recognises the history of our forbears who walked the Pilgrim's Way above our vineyard for centuries on their final leg to Canterbury.

Pelegrim NV is a traditional bottle-fermented sparkling wine that is made from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay with reserve wines from previous vintages to give further complexity and a consistent extra dry non-vintage style. The wines are lees-aged in bottle for 36 months to give depth and biscuity aromas which only bottle-fermentation can deliver.

Flint Vineyard Charmat Rosé (6 Bottles) Bungay, Norfolk, England

£132.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Our pinkest ever Charmat Rosé, with a fresh new design.

Characteristically Flint, our most popular wine is about as pink as it gets. The vibrant new label perfectly reflects this glorious expression of strawberry pink in the glass, coupled as always with mouthwatering upfront fruit flavours.

Our Charmat Rosé was the first of its kind to be produced in the UK. Made using the Charmat method that requires secondary fermentation in tank rather than bottle. The wine is uniquely English – fruity, vibrant, sassy and fun!

Fizzing with the flavours of summer. Fresh strawberries, tart redcurrants and ripe cherries.

The palate offers the mouth-watering and crunchy acidity of fleshy pink grapefruit and a hint of creaminess. A perfect aperitif for the final days of summer.

Hazel End Anniversary Blend 2018 (6 Bottles) Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, England

£63.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

It's called Anniversary because it marks 40 years since vines were first planted at Hazel End. Like our gold medal winner of 2009, it is a blend of Huxelrebe and Reichensteiner harvested in a fine year for UK vineyards. You may detect hints of apricot, honey and spices on the nose and unexpected length on the palate.

The breakdown is about 80% Bacchus grapes, with the remaining 20% coming from a traditionally German variety called Reichensteiner. Both varieties of white grapes ripen very well in the cool Dorset climate, producing crisp approachable dry wines. Reichensteiner is a light, floral grape that is perfect for blending. Bacchus is well known as the “Sauvignon Blanc of the UK” so we know Sauvignon Blanc lovers, or lovers of any refreshing, dry white wines will love our Elegance. On the nose we get bright grapefruit and elderflower aromas, on the palate we also have notes pink grapefruit accompanied by undertones of white peach and fresh herbs.

Food Pairings: one of the only wines out there that is a spectacular pairing for spring asparagus, but is also a perfect compliment to all fresh vegetable dishes.

Owned by the Deniau family, Domaine des Vaublins has been a family winery for several generations. Since 2020 the Domaine is in the hands of the current generation Nicolas and Alexandrine, and together with Cedric Allion they are making some excellent wines under his watchful eye. Their 16 hectares of vines are located on the clay and limestone hillsides on the banks of the river Cher.

This Sauvignon Blanc showcases a golden hue adorned with green undertones, displaying impeccable clarity and remarkable depth. Its nose is a one of complexity, boasting exquisite fruit notes of citrus, particularly grapefruit, alongside captivating mineral undertones. Upon aeration, the minerality takes centre stage, reminiscent of gunflint, intertwining gracefully with the hints of freshly squeezed lemon entwined with the essence of white fruit, pear, and green apples.
