Flint Vineyard Charmat 2023 (6 Bottles) Bungay, Norfolk, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
bright, fresh and fruit-driven, made with a blend of sustainably grown, aromatic varieties that require minimal intervention in the vineyard. The grapes were pressed under nitrogen to retain their delicate flavours, with a proportion fermented in neutral oak to add complexity. Secondary fermentation was completed in tank using the Charmat Method, making this wine one of the first of its kind produced in England. This vibrant sparkling white is full of fresh lemon and pear. A crisp palate of melon and green apple lead to a bright finish, making it the perfect aperitif.
Hartenberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 (6 Bottles) Stellenbosch, South Africa
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

With a philosophy of combining decades of experience and knowledge of the local terroir and an innovative attitude to how it is cared for. By understanding and working with nature Hartenberg ensure that their wines are unique to their vineyards. Promoting biodiversity and soil health the estate has established a culture of regenerative farming, a system that allows the crafting of wines through environmentally conscious and sustainable methods. This Cabernet offers up everything you`d hunt for in Bordeaux, yet this red is from South Africa`s Hardenberg. Deep black in colour with cigar box, pencil shavings and truffle overlaying the ripe, rich red and black fruit beneath. Judicious use of oak and good acidity provides an impressive structure which this pure fruit clings to, offering lingering, fine tannins on the finish.

Smith and Evans LD 2010 (6 Bottles) Langport, Somerset, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Our first vintage in 2010 feels like yesterday and like a different world altogether. The nerves and anxiety of years of work and planning all coming down to a single day. Thirty or so virtual strangers turned up to pick coralled by our friend Celia Kozlowski. Little did we know that some of them would still be harvesting with us to this day!
We sold the vast majority of the wine years ago but we kept a few bottles on lees for 13 years. We always keep a some in the cellars for family occasions and have decided to put 50 out into the world for people that are interested in seeeing how this gem has developed. The LD stands for Late Disgorged - doing it this way preserves the freshness of the wine and indeed, these bottles are remarkable. They resemble a blanc de blancs in terms of its taste profile which is fresh and full of minerality with distinctive grapefruit citrus aromas that I can't say that we remember from it's first incarnation. It's a beautiful delicate wine that is testament to the quality of those young vines at Higher Plot.
Astley Freya Sparkling Sec (6 Bottles) Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Freya is our delightfully drinkable sparkling wine. Made entirely from Kerner, this semi-sweet (13g/L), fruity sparkling wine is made for drinking with friends, or sharing at parties. Consistently a best seller, and always one of our favourite wines.
Made of: 100% Kerner
Tastes of: Ripe apple & shortbread
Sweetness: Semi sweet (13g/L - "Sec")
Acidity: High
Time on lees: 65 months/5 years
Disgorged: November 2024
Freya is a fun alternative to traditional sparkling wines. The joyous, but not sickly amount of residual sugar balances nicely against the naturally high acidity of Kerner. Interestingly, the residual sugar in this vintage is the result of the secondary fermentation (consistently) not finishing. The result is a fantastic, but casual sparkling wine that makes a great gift, or a delicious pairing with fruity desserts.
