Feudi del Pisciotto Nero d’Avola 2024 (6 Bottles) Sicily, Italy

Feudi del Pisciotto is a property located in a rural area of south-eastern Sicily, on the edge of the Sughereta di Niscemi Nature Reserve. The name refers to a small river that flows through the property. The winery and cellars are housed in a historic ‘palmento’ dating to the 18th century. The property and vineyards were all but abandoned before they were bought by famous Italian journalist Paolo Panerai in 2005. The viticultural ideology of Feudi del Pisciotto is based on the philosophy of Giacomo Tachis, who famously proclaimed that “the terroir of Sicily allows any type of vine to be grown successfully, with the right knowledge”.
This Nero d'Avola is bright ruby red in colour, this wine offers aromas of red fruits like black cherry and cherry, complemented by delicate floral notes of violet and myrtle. On the palate, it is fresh, smooth, and velvety, with a beautifully rounded texture.

This English sparkling is on the dry side but balanced by a smooth mouthfeel and length. It has a pale pink rose colour, with a delicate floral nose. A creamy soft mousse, alongside raspberry and redcurrant fruit notes, make up this elegant sparkling wine.

However, I’m very close to admitting that this could be my favourite sparkling wine that we’ve released so far. I always love the gorgeous bronzed-gold colour of Blanc de Noirs wines coupled with their depth of flavour…..but what totally captivates me about this wine is the mouthfeel and balance.
It has the smoothest texture, the most delicious creaminess and a captivating balance of freshness and fruit. This is a fantastic example of the style that can be created with the right wine and patience! We’ve waited 5 long years for this wine to gently mature and I think it was worth it.

Isabel Estate is one of the original Marlborough vineyards with some of the oldest vines in the region on original rootstock. This Sauvignon blanc has an alluring nose displaying notes of fresh passionfruit and citrus, with hints of lemongrass and stone fruit. The palate is concentrated and layered with bright citrus and tropical fruits giving way to a creamy mid palate and mineral finish. A perfect match with whole barbecued fish or freshly steamed mussels.
