Coolhurst Papaiannou Chardonnay (6 Bottles) Horsham, West Sussex, England via Greece

£89.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND DELIVERY INCLUDED

NECTAR FROM A DIFFERENT HECTARE

Papaioannou Chardonnay from Nemea! Well knock me down with a sledgehammer. Wow!

This delicious organic Chardonnay from Greece, was our first ever guest producer. Another example of how this magnificent grape can taste different (again) in another climate or from a different terroir. This has enough ‘classic chard’ to please traditionalists, but real intrigue via lemon and mountain herb notes to interest the keenest of inquisitive palettes. From France this would be twice the price…..

Ridgeview Oak Reserve (6 Bottles) Ditchling Common, East Sussex, England

£510.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

The late-disgorged sibling to our original Oak Reserve. Extended lees ageing has mellowed and integrated the oak element, while enhancing complexity. A captivating wine, delivering both luxury and impeccable precision.

Small parcels of our home vineyard Chardonnay were carefully selected across three exceptional vintages and gently pressed in whole bunches. Predominantly barrel fermented in a combination of old and new, toasted
Burgundy and Loire oak barrels, a small selection of base wines also underwent malolactic conversion. Following secondary bottle fermentation in our naturally cool, underground cellars, our second-release Oak Reserve then spent 60 months on lees before disgorging, with six months on cork to complete its journey.

£130.00

Inspired by the ancient winemaking traditions from the Georgian region, we seized the chance to create an extraordinary wine style, now fashionably known as "orange wine." A luminous golden-amber hue greets the eye, radiating the rustic elegance of this handcrafted gem from the Amber Valley. On the nose, a symphony of aromas unfolds: ripe apricot and zesty tangerine are complemented by a whisper of vanilla and a delicate hint of cedar, offering an inviting bouquet that teases the senses. Bright citrus zest mingles with succulent apricot and lush tropical pineapple, harmonized by a textured, tannic grip that adds depth and structure. A subtle Fino-like oxidative note enhances its complexity, making this a wine of remarkable character and intrigue.
