The Cape Mentelle journey is a true labour of love, born from humble beginnings in 1970 with just sixteen hectares of vines. Fast forward to today, and this iconic winery has carefully crafted each blend to showcase the unique characteristics of its terroir, resulting in wines that are both complex and approachable.
This wine is a crafted blend of flavours and textures, showcasing the best of Margaret River Shiraz. This 16 Hectares Shiraz is a medium-bodied delight, with a rich array of dark fruit flavours, including red cherry, blackberry, and spiced plum. These flavours are beautifully complemented by layers of cedar and warm spice, adding depth and complexity to the wine. With its finely textured tannins and refreshing acidity, this wine is both elegant and refined. The gravelly soils of the Wallcliffe vineyard have imparted a subtle minerality, while the wild-yeast fermentation has added a touch of nuance. This is quite possibly the best sparkling wine that we’ve made so far. The 2018 combines the richness of our 2013 and the depth of 2011 a balance that gives the best of both worlds. The wine is pretty much equal quantities of Chardonnay , Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with 15% Reserve Wine from previous vintages going right back to 2010 .
It was disgorged in late 2023after four years on the lees. It still has plenty of room for development and will continue to improve for five or more years.
Burn Valley Solaris Black label 2022 (6 Bottles) Fakenham, Norfolk, England

Our signature white wine at Burn Valley continues to shine, barrel fermented and aged in Hungarian oak for eight months with a mixture of new and aged oak, partial malolactic fermentation is done to produce a rich buttery finish. Aromas of vanilla and toasty notes. Citrus fruits balance with a rich and creamy palate with notes of vanilla and oak.
