The word Bulari is derived from the Latin word Bullarum, meaning bubbles. The Cotswolds, in which the Poulton Hill Estate is located, is steeped in Roman history, with the Roman town of Cirencester close by.
A beautiful pale gold in appearance, this Bulari has a vibrant nose of freshly cut green apple and pear with citrusy notes of orange peel, lemon and hints of lime zest. The palate is filled with mouth-watering fruits of juicy apple at the forefront, hints of grapefruit and lemon (sherbet) together with a fine mousse creates a wonderfully well rounded mouthfeel with a crisp, clean finish.

Established in 1692, Hartenberg Estate should need little introduction, as one of South Africa’s oldest wineries. Aged in French and American oak barrels for almost one year, giving structure, complexity and depth. This is quite possibly the best sparkling wine that we’ve made so far. The 2015 combines the richness of our 2013 and the crisp fresh side of 2014 a balance that gives the best of both worlds. The wine is pretty much equal quantities of Chardonnay , Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with 15% Reserve Wine from previous vintages going right back to 2010 .
It was disgorged in late 2019 after four years on the lees. It still has plenty of room for development and will continue to improve for five or more years.
