This has enough ‘classic chard’ to please traditionalists, but real intrigue via lemon and mountain herb notes to interest the keenest of inquisitive palettes. A rare and unique expression of English Pinot Noir. Grapes harvested in 2022 were crushed and left on their skins for two days before fermentation in a single puncheon of high-toast oak, where the wine was left to age for 10-months.
Bright pink-grapefruit colour gives way to notes of ripe cherry, savoury citrus, tangerine peel and pipe tobacco.
The palate has a pronounced structure, defined by a natural freshness and gentle tannic grip. Rich toasted oak resonates with the charred wood depicted in the label. A long and memorable finish.

Antonin Guyon started buying vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin and Meursault in the 1960s. A decade later, his son Dominique added 350 plots in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Today, Dominique and his daughter Hombeline, the fifth generation of the family, look after a domaine covering more than fifteen different appellations.
This vibrant, ruby-hued Pinot Noir offers a lifted bouquet of wild strawberry, red cherry, and rose petal, layered with subtle forest floor and gentle spice. the wine showcases purity of fruit and a bright, cool-climate character. On the palate, it is finely structured and crisp, with lively acidity and delicate, chalky tannins framing the red berry core. A touch of sap and spice adds complexity through the mid-palate, leading to a clean, mineral-driven finish with a hint of savoury nuance.
