A key part of our core range, “Painter of Light” is a wine that expresses refinement and elegance playing into varietal characters and vintage reflection. Following in a similar vein to previous vintages,
the wine with more citrus with a strong backbone lent through the English acidity. The oak is prevalent but restrained embracing tropical and stone fruit character with underlying smokey and flint characters. The palate has minerality and length with underlying elements of citrus and saline notes.

Winemaker's Notes: Not your typical white wine, a wine for the lovers of 'orange wines'. Small parcels of very ripe and rare (in England) Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat grapes were fermented on skins in the same way as you would a red wine for 7 days before being pressed. Only 500 bottles produced.

The 2018 Element 20 is made solely from Chardonnay fermented, and aged in 2- to 5-year-old French oak barriques for 12 months and left on full lees prior to bottling in September.

Fermented on skins for three weeks and aged in a mix of both new and aged American and Hungarian oak barrels for twelve months. Aromas of vanilla, cinnamon and hints of white pepper spice. The Gratiot-Pillière family’s focus has always been on quality, authenticity and value above all else. Winemakers since 1657, today the winery is in the hands of 11th generation brothers Olivier and Sébastien. The family vineyards cover 18 hectares of land, spread throughout the towns of Charly-Sur-Marne, Saulchery, Bonneil and Azy-Sur-Marne. Subtle blends of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from across varied terroirs give a style that is fresh, balanced and replete with delicate fruit.
A blond gold yellow tint surrounds the fine bubbles which rise slowly. The nose expresses itself with opulence, with mixed notes of ripe yellow fruits (mirabelle plum, fresh quince) and fruit in syrup. The palate is almost suave, with a nice persistence, supported by a light freshness that accompanies a warm finish.
