Sandridge Barton Don’t Feed the Ponies Figgie Daniel 2022 (6 Bottles) Stoke Gabriel, Devon, England

£150.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

An energetic wine with a lively spritz. This wine is unfiltered and unfined and contains the lees in the bottle. Col Fondo means 'with the bottom' in Italian, referring to the leftover lees sediment. This is the method in which Prosecco was produced before being overly commercialised but is now regaining popularity.

This wine is light and spritzy with green apple, lemon rind, elderflower and yeasty characters. We recommend a gentle shake before serving to distribute the sediment.

This wine is part of our new Don't Feed The Ponies range of more experimental wines, a reference to a campaign on Dartmoor National Park to discourage visitors from feeding the wild horses that roam there. The source of the River Dart begins way up in the heart of the moors, and it's the river that influences how our grapes grow. For every bottle purchased from this range, we'll donate 25p to the Dartmoor Preservation Association to preserve the natural habitat.

Lyme Bay Chardonnay 2021 (6 Bottles) Axminster, Devon, England

£150.00
by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Fermented in a mixture of stainless steel and oak at cool temperatures using selected Burgundy yeast strains to enhance complexity, stone fruit, floral characters and minerality. Post-fermentation there was full malolactic fermentation and extended fine lees ageing with some bâtonnage to accentuate the natural weight.

A late dry spell in 2021 allowed us to hang the fruit for as long as possible to ensure we attained peak physiological ripeness for our house style. The Chardonnay 2021 is a blend of aromatic and non-aromatic chardonnay fruit sourced from a collection of growers in Essex where the microclimate and soil allow the grapes to achieve excellent ripeness, harvested between 31st October and 7th November 2021.

Harrow & Hope Blanc de Blancs 2020 (6 Bottles) Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England

by Wines by Cellars

UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED

Although still in its early stages, this wine is already revealing its potential with an enticing blend of toasty elegance and soft, ripe fruit. Its delicate balance of flavours hints at a refined complexity that will only deepen with time. However, it is the wine's remarkable freshness that truly stands out, offering a vibrant, lively quality that promises longevity and a graceful evolution. As it matures, the interplay of its bright acidity and evolving depth is likely to create a wine of exceptional character. This is a bottle with a bright future, destined for a long and beautiful life.
