This Library Release wine has been gently maturing in our cellars. A Pinot Noir-dominated blend from a cool vintage, this wine is elegant and nuanced with layers of complex flavours. The overall impression is bright and vibrant. Notes of red currant, red fruits and orange zest sitting alongside cloves, cherry bark and a delicious succulent apricot note. The finish is complex and long.
Every year, we release a small number of late-disgorged wines. These are particularly luxurious and fine thanks to a special winemaking technique.
If you’re already familiar with Dom Perignon’s Plénitude or Bollinger’s RD, then you know the magical combination of freshness allied with delicious flavours of brioche, cream, butter and toast that characterise late-disgorged wines.
But how does this kind of ageing alchemy happen? The answer lies in the lees.

We are so proud to announce that our Stag Oak Reserve 2022 has won a Silver Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2024, with a whopping 90/100 points! A firm favourite in the wine-makers household this is a truly sumptuous wine.
A lightly oaked chardonnay blend, dry with a round palate of pear, peach, yellow apple, and citrus fruit. Creamy, butterscotch notes with a good use of light oak showing vanilla and toast, adding structure and complexity. This is a voluptuous wine with a rich long finish. Thaya U Chlupa Pinot Blanc 2023 (6 Bottles) Znojmo, Czech Republic

Nestled in the rain shadow of the Czech-Moravian Highlands, in the Znojmo sub-region of Moravia, sits Thaya. Winemaker Jakub Smrčka has been building the name for himself and for Thaya over these last few years. Having produced his first vintage in 2011, when he was only 20 years old, he came to Thaya passionate about the terroir of his homeland, his rule is simple yet bold: each vintage must be a little better than the previous one.
The wine presents a golden yellow hue and offers a wide array of aromas, including hints of baked bread crust and ripe yellow fruits, with a subtle note of honeycomb. On the palate, it is harmonious and mineral, showcasing a delicate touch of barrel ageing that adds depth to its flavour profile.

Our 2018 ‘Alwyn’ Classic Cuvée is named after a Saxon nobleman and first known resident of the original Saxon manor of Chilworth. he 2019 Blanc de Noirs is an almost equal blend of Pinot Noir and Meunier at 51% and 49% respectively, with a small addition of 3% reserve wine.
It was bottled in September 2020 and disgorged in November 2023, thus spending more than our minimum of three years on lees for our sparkling white wines. It has now spent over a year on cork, which has given us confidence, after tasting of course, that it is in a sweet spot and ready to be released and enjoyed.
