Hungerhill Merstone Pinot Blanc 2023 (6 Bottles) Bedford, Bedfordshire, England

This white wine starts with a floral and citrus nose and have aromas of citrus, pear, grapefruit and green apple. Is refreshing on the palate and has a long finish.
Merstone Pinot Blanc pairs perfectly with creamy pasta and dishes and soft cheeses or can be enjoyed on its own.
Our Pinot Blanc is made from hand-picked grapes, harvested in early October 2023. The Pinot Blanc grapes from Oxfordshire were gently pressed in our winery on the same day. The pale yellow juice was fermented partialy in a stainless steel tank and a third vintage oak barrel from Burgundy, before being bottled in May 2024. The wine is unfiltered, unfined and vegan friendly.

Inviting nose with red berry fruit (strawberry and raspberry), quince, nectarine, and delicate floral aromas (white rose petal).
Fresh red berries on the palate alongside crisp red apple give an initially bright attack, with the suggestion of stone fruits giving a slighter rounder feel to the wine. Floral notes linger on the palate giving an elegant finish.
Would work great with crab and richer shellfish dishes in creamy sauces with plenty of depth. Lobster ravioli anyone?

Josef Chromy is one of Tasmania's most famous influential wine figures, having owned and developed some of the state's most prominent wineries, including Rochecombe (now Bay Of Fires), Jansz, Tamar Ridge and Heemskerk vineyards. Núria Altés is a native of Batea, Terra Alta, and her family have been growers for generations. A proud Catalan, Núria is deeply immersed in the history of the region and will gladly recount the stories of her beloved land over a glass of Garnatxa Negra. She worked in local wineries before forming a partnership with her English husband, Rafael De Haan, to start Herència Altés, a project proudly carrying her family`s name in tribute to their work in the vineyards of Terra Alta over many generations.
