Tread Softly is a contemporary range of wines seeking to deliver delicious, intensely flavoured wines that are naturally medium weighted and moderate in alcohol. By using more sustainable vineyard management and wine-making techniques to ensure their production has had a minimal impact to the environment. Tread Softly is committed to reducing their carbon footprint and so commits to planting an Australian Native Tree for every case of 6 bottles sold.
Sourced from established vineyards of the rich soils of South Australia. The vines are mostly dry-grown and utilise expert canopy management to help to control ripening and vigour.

A captivating debut still white wine from Black Chalk, ‘Rumour Has It’ showcases the essence of Kent’s vineyards with a distinctly Black Chalk twist. This Chardonnay, crafted from four tonnes of premium fruit sourced from a trusted friend’s vineyard in Kent, offers a soft, rounded texture courtesy of full malolactic fermentation. A blend of stainless-steel and 30% new French oak fermentation lends the wine a harmonious balance between fresh purity and subtle oak influence.
The palate brims with bright fruit flavors, beautifully integrated with a creamy mouthfeel, delivering a wine of elegance, balance, and unmistakable character.

Confit lemon, orange blossom and white lily exude on the nose, nestling amongst ripe apricot, white peach and baked red apple. The palate intensifies, evolving into tarte Tatin, almond croissant and a dusting of crumble, yet maintaining a precise structure, creamy texture and mouth-watering acidity.
The finish develops a mineral, chalky quality, nodding to our Hampshire terroir, and the svelte mousse remains persistent and elegant. Incredibly complex and immensely enjoyable.

Made with the rare Kernling grape, a variety related to Reisling and shares it's aging potential. Our Leonora's wines happily age for more than 10 years, developing honey and orange blossom.
The 2018 vintage is dry, complex and starting to develop the classic "petrol" aromas associated with good Reisling and the lemon/lime is evolving into pink grapefruit. Pairs well with anything you would squeeze lemon on (oysters, perhaps?).
