Old Luxters, nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty, is home to Chiltern Valley Wines, its vineyard, winery, Old Luxters Brewery, liqueur-making facilities, and a charming cellar shop. The grapes are whole bunch pressed into a mix of stainless steel tanks and old Burgundy barrels for fermentation. The combination of tanks and barrels offers a depth and complexity that enhances aromas of elderflower, citrus, grapefruit, pineapple and white pepper.
We are excited to bring back the second edition of our GMF, an early release, champagne method sparkling wine. The 2020 vintage was the forever summer of Britain, adding to a long warm growing season with exceptional quality. Bottled under crown cap, we leave this opulent wine undisgorged, giving the benefit continued lees ageing in the bottle, adding to the texture and complexity. The wine spends a minimum of 6 months ageing on lees prior to bottling and secondary fermentation.

This dry white sparkling wine is made from 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay grapes hand-picked from our vineyard in October 2019.
It was made using the classic bottle fermentation method and has spent three years on the lees. It is pale gold in colour and displays a fine mousse.
It has a floral bouquet with grapefruit and lemon on the nose. Dry on the palate with delicate aromas of apple, white peach, lemon and lime and a nutty finish.

This new release is made from grapes from the excellent 2019 and 2020 vintages. Made from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, secondary fermentation in bottle followed by 24 months gaining complexity on lees. The wine therefore benefits from some lovely bottle age and is ready to be enjoyed now. 12% ABV.
