About Dropmore Vineyard
Dropmore Vineyard is the realisation of a dream shared by John and Feona Petersen. Inspired by a visit to New Zealand’s Marlborough wine region in 2005, they embarked on a journey to create a small, boutique vineyard in their backyard in Buckinghamshire. After extensive research and completing viticulture courses at Plumpton College, they planted their first vines in 2008. The vineyard, situated near Burnham Beeches, boasts a gentle south-east facing slope with excellent soil, ideal for growing a range of grape varieties.
Today, Feona Petersen continues to develop the legacy created by her husband, producing award-winning wines from five grape varieties: Bacchus, Chardonnay, Ortega, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir. Our wines have won numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals at regional and national wine challenges, including the best still wine in the 2013 T&CVA challenge.

Beautifully balanced light Pink traditional method sparkling wine with classic English Pinot character. Lovely floral and delicate strawberry fruit nose and crisp acidity
2017 vintage review in The Times by Jane Macquitty 'Bob and Sam make England’s best pink bubble in a pretty corner of the Cornish countryside. It’s constantly classy, champagne-method gem and bursts with zingy crushed-strawberry fruit. Wonder to the park with this and have a wonderful time. '
Described by Victoria Moore as ‘a triumph, it’s completely delicious – like a wild cherry blossom nose-kiss’. Jane Macquitty, the Times critic writes about the 2016 vintage: ‘Camel Valley’s strawberry scented Pinot noir rose Brut is ‘the best …’.
Praised by Matthew Jukes, English Wine Compendium Mail Weekend magazine "This is a phenomenal wine which is not only one of the finest rosés in the UK but also the world!"
Recommended by Saturday Kitchen’s Olly Smith and a strong pedigree: The 2010 vintage won a Decanter World Wine Award Gold medal, the UKVA Trophy for the best Sparkling Rose in England and was awarded first place in the MWs tasting of 90 English Sparkling wines in 2012. New release! This is the latest release of our best-selling Rosé Brut from the successful 2022 vintage. This release is made exactly in exactly the same style - albeit a little lighter in appearance - from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir and having spent over 18 months on lees.
Pale salmon in colour with an abundance of fine bubbles, the wine has notes of strawberry, some blood orange, summer citrus freshness with a little creamy nougat on the nose. The freshness continues into the palate with some lightly bready notes and a little some summer fruit salad. Reminiscent of a summer day with the sun going down, this is the perfect aperitif or paired with with light starter dishes. ABV 12%.
