A deliciously sumptuous wine with a pale straw colour and a fine bead of bubbles. The nose is alive with aromas of fresh strawberries, red apple and lemon tart. The palate is reminiscent of pear tart-tatin with a subtle lime acidity that produces a long, elegant finish.
About D’Urberville Vineyard
Established in 2011 by Colin Hawkins, D’Urberville Vineyard can be found on a picturesque south-facing slope in Dorset. The vineyard’s name pays homage to Colin’s grandfather’s connection to renowned author Thomas Hardy. Our five-acre vineyard boasts over 5,000 vines, featuring classic champagne grape varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. In 2014, we introduced Bacchus, a new addition to our vineyard, with plans to produce still white Bacchus wine.
Our inaugural harvest in 2014 yielded an award-winning English Sparkling Wine, crafted using traditional methods and aged for two years. We’re thrilled to have received a Gold Medal at the Independent English Wine Awards 2021 and a Silver Medal at the South West Independent Wine Association Awards 2018. This new release is made from grapes from the excellent 2019 and 2020 vintages. New release! This is the latest release of our best-selling Rosé Brut from the successful 2022 vintage. This release is made exactly in exactly the same style - albeit a little lighter in appearance - from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir and having spent over 18 months on lees.
Pale salmon in colour with an abundance of fine bubbles, the wine has notes of strawberry, some blood orange, summer citrus freshness with a little creamy nougat on the nose. The freshness continues into the palate with some lightly bready notes and a little some summer fruit salad. Reminiscent of a summer day with the sun going down, this is the perfect aperitif or paired with with light starter dishes. ABV 12%.

Non vintage English Sparkling Brut Reserve. Typically 2 ½ to 3 years on lees, blended with 2 to 3 prior years’ reserve wines. The wine is only released after a further 6-12 months on cork.
This elegant brut sparkling blend showcases a harmonious balance of flavours. The 40% Chardonnay provides a rich, creamy texture, while the 50% Pinot Noir adds depth and complexity. The 10% Pinot Meunier contributes a subtle fruitiness and delicate acidity. On the palate, expect notes of green apple, toasted brioche, and a hint of citrus, all wrapped up in a crisp, refreshing finish.
