About Kerry Vale Vineyard
Kerry Vale Vineyard is a family-run business owned by Russell and Jan Cooke. In February 2020, they acquired the vineyard from the Ferguson family, who founded it a decade earlier. The site, once home to an old blacksmith’s house called Brompton View and farm buildings, was transformed after consultations revealed ideal conditions for viticulture. In March 2010, 6,000 vines were planted, and Kerry Vale Vineyard was born.
The vineyard, now home to 6,500 vines, features four grape varieties—Rondo, Pinot Noir, Phoenix, and Solaris—perfectly suited for the English climate. Spanning 62 rows over 13 kilometres, the vineyard uses over 100,000 metres of wire and 1,200 posts to support its vines, which are pruned using the French Double Guyot system.
Kerry Vale’s location is of great archaeological interest, sitting on the edge of a Roman fort and vicus, with evidence of Bronze Age monuments, a druid road, and a medieval settlement. Excavations have uncovered Roman pottery, metalwork, and silver-extracting debris.
We invite visitors to explore our tranquil vineyard and enjoy the stunning countryside. For a unique gift, consider our Adopt a Vine package. We’re confident you’ll fall in love with Kerry Vale, just as we have.

Concentrated brambles (blackberry) and black cherry, damson fruit overlaid with quintessential Pinot perfumed aromatics and subtle dry spice. Subtle fennel and violet give further aromatic complexity and intrigue. Medium-light, chalky tannins give the wine great texture, acidity is refreshing but well-integrated and harmonious. Long, complete finish with all components pulling-together to the end.

Knightor Winery Pinot Noir 2023 (6 Bottles) St Austell Bay, Cornwall, England
Free UK Delivery on Orders Over £60
Character: Light, Fruit-forward
Aromas: Cherry, Wild Strawberry, Spice
Flavours: Red Fruits, Gentle Oak
Style: A light and summery English Red.
Food Pairing: Pair with lamb, game, or enjoy on its own.
A pale red Pinot Noir, the colour is deceptive, not revealing the powerful red fruits hidden within. Full of wild red fruit characters on the nose, the palate is soft, with intense red cherry and gentle spice from the time spent on oak. The perfect red for summer, ideal with a BBQ.
Winemaker's Notes: Just the ripest Pinot Noir was used for this light red. The grapes were crushed and fermented partly in tank and partly in barrel. Throughout the ferment regular pump overs were conducted to extract a little more colour and weight. The oaked proportion of the blend then spent a further 12 months in oak before being bottled.
