About Roebuck Estate Wines
Nestled in the heart of the Sussex countryside, near the picturesque market town of Petworth, Roebuck Estates was founded by two friends with a shared passion for exceptional wine. Their vision was clear—to craft outstanding vintage sparkling wines every year that could be enjoyed worldwide.
The estate takes its name from the wild roe deer often seen roaming the landscape. With deep respect for the land, Roebuck Estates is committed to sustainability, aiming to leave the lightest environmental footprint.
A highly skilled full-time vineyard team, with experience from around the globe, works tirelessly to cultivate the finest fruit for Roebuck’s English sparkling wines. This is the eighth release of our best and most acclaimed sparkling rosé wine. Made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes which were lovingly hand picked from our Monkshatch plot at the end of the first week of October 2019.
Two thirds of the grapes were crushed and destemmed and soaked for two hours prior to pressing to obtain the lovely light ‘salmon pink’ colour before fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
One third of the grapes were whole bunch pressed with the base wine (using only the Cuvée) fermented and aged in used oak barrels. Both batches went through malolactic fermentation.
