Sandridge Barton Blanc de Noirs 2020 (6 Bottles) Stoke Gabriel, Devon, England
£276.00
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
This is the first sparkling wine in our Sandridge Barton range, and it has certainly hit the ground running, winning a ‘Master’ medal at the Global Sparkling Wine Awards 2023 and is one of only 7 wines to achieve this top award out of 230 entries.
Made with 100% Pinot Noir from the best parcels, it’s fermented naturally with indigenous yeasts in second fill French oak barrels where it spends a further 10 months on gross lees. We bottled this wine for second fermentation in June 2021, where it spent a further 18 months on the lees in bottle. We disgorged this wine with no dosage added, so it comes in at 0 g/l of residual sugar.
Raspberry gold in colour, with delicate aromas of rhubarb, fresh orchard fruits and cooked apple. The palate is dry, with delicate tart red berry flavours and subtle autolytic characters of baked bread and puff pastry. This leads you into a long finish lifted by the ripe and fruit-driven acidity.
About Sandridge Barton
At Sandridge Barton, we proudly build on our 40-year legacy as pioneers of the English wine industry, formerly known as Sharpham Wine. Our history began in the 1980s when Maurice and Ruth Ash planted trial vines on the Sharpham Estate, overlooking the River Dart. The first wines were released in the late 1980s and quickly gained recognition.
In the 1990s and 2000s, Mark Sharman took over the business, expanding the vineyard and introducing new varieties. Our reputation grew, with wins in national and international awards, including three consecutive gold medals at the Sommeliers Choice Awards.
In the mid-2000s, we partnered with Sandridge Barton, increasing our production and honouring our ethos of using Dart Valley fruit. In 2020, we relocated to our new home on the Sandridge Barton estate, building a state-of-the-art winery and visitor centre.
We’re excited to continue our legacy, producing excellent wines made with grapes grown in our Dart Valley vineyards.

Black Chalk Inversion Sparkling Blanc de Noirs 2020 (6 Bottles) Andover, Hampshire, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Inversion 2020 is a limited-edition Blanc de Noir, with only 1,939 bottles produced. Crafted from 83% Pinot Noir and 17% Pinot Meunier, this wine showcases the best of the Upper Levels vineyard, where the unique terroir lends complexity and depth to the blend. Dominated by the robust Pinot Noir 777 clone (67% of the blend), it is complemented by clones 386, 521, and 817, each contributing to its layered profile.
The wine’s character is shaped by a careful balance of 97% stainless steel aging and 3% maturation in 5-year-old Burgundian barrels, enhancing its finesse. Burgundy yeast Spark amplifies the aromatics, while a non-interventionist approach—eschewing malolactic fermentation and fining—ensures the wine expresses its true varietal essence.
On the nose, Inversion bursts with vibrant red fruit aromas, underpinned by subtle hints of spice and earthiness. The palate delivers a powerful and expressive profile, brimming with red berries, yet refined with a distinctive “grown-up” edge. A backbone of vibrant acidity cleanses the palate, creating a clean and satisfying finish.
This is a wine of elegance and precision, designed to celebrate the potential of Pinot Noir in the UK, particularly the expressive and bold nature of the PN 777 clone.
“Inversion is all about highlighting the power of the PN 777 clone—it’s got a real grown-up edge to it.”
— Jacob Leadley, Owner & Winemaker
Raimes Blanc de Noirs 2019 (6 Bottles) Alresford, Hampshire, England
UK MAINLAND SHIPPING INCLUDED
Ripe orchard fruits. Lovely, fresh and well balanced with a hint of toasty background notes.
The nose is of redcurrants, sweet red apples and peach with suggestions of pastry and lemon shortbread. The palate is very fruit forward, thanks to the fruits of the ripe 2019 vintage. But it’s perfectly judged, bringing forward a creamy generosity to balance the taut red berry and crisp apple flavours.

A rose gold hue and nose of sweet Russet apples. A mouth-filling palate of summer fruits with a long, zesty, saline, plum compôte finish.
This vintage pairs exquisitely with lamb or charcuterie, or strawberries and cream. With winter in mind, why not try baked ham with cranberry sauce or roast duck with all the trimmings.
Wildwood Saxonbury Pinot Noir Rosé 2023 (6 Bottles) Tonbridge Wells, East Sussex, England
